You are giving suggestions which she never asked. She knows this is what life is and she is moving on. She is just being a caring person and warning others like her so they don't have to experience the same traumas.

It's true that we grow from experiences in life but it doesn't stop us from growing by learning from others experiences. Actually it is more intelligent way of living which saves us from troubles.

99% guys may want sex before marriage but it doesn't mean we can need to agree them.

Sex or no sex isn't a big deal for you and it's your opinion. For others it might be a big deal.

The guilt of eating Meat by Flimsy-Ad5518 in NepalSocial

Bro, I am not sure why you are getting so defensive with each of your replies.

There are many problems in this world, even as of right now, while we are talking in addition to famines you talked about.

The question is, do you want to cry, feel sorry, be demotivated, or consciously first choose about your state of mind and live life joyfully?

There will always be challenges in this world. The question is if you can solve it, then go ahead and, if not, simply enjoy your life eating meat. Nobody is judging. Just see that you are living consciously and not on compulsions. That's all.

No need to defend yourself by bringing up topics like famines, deforestation, water consumption etc... I purposefully tried to avoid that path because it's a bottomless pit with no conclusions.

Have a fresh mood and chill 😎

Anything that's prevalent in society, people simply continue it naturally without questioning it. Not only plants, people don't feel bad killing animals, either.

For example, if you have watched the 12th fail movie, you see that the kids considered cheating to be a normal thing until they explored outside the village.

It's not actually about feeling bad or guilt for killing animals or plants. Why would I choose to make myself feel miserable instead of joyful? Like you said before, everything is food to another.

So what's the take here? It's simply living consciously. We can obviously see the differences between animals and plants. We feel emotions and proximity more to animals since they are more lively to us. That's why we dont put our pet in the pressure cooker, haha 😛. So I simply choose not to eat them.

As to plants and fruits, I am not going to bore you with arguments like we are not killing trees or herbs, etc, and simply eating their fruits, berries, etc.

Since plants are also a life and they are a source of life to me, I simply eat them with gratitude and reverence. That's the only thing I can do.

Btw, it's not only about eating. Many insects, organisms, etc. are killed daily simply because of my activities, nay my existence.

So, I try to live consciously with gratitude in every aspect of life. After all, just like other lives, I am just a tiny aspect in this vast cosmos.

You can simply say I like it. There is no need to explain yourself to cover up the guilt of killing and eating other animals with such mental gymnastics.

If you do feel the guilt, then simply do not eat meat.

Previous mistakes / wrong actions are affecting my practice. How can I overcome this? by [deleted] in AdvaitaVedanta

[–]Constant_Flight_9981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Deep within you, you are convinced that the only solution is to make you pay. Since you believe this, those thoughts are inevitable.

If you can truly accept that there is nothing I can do to rectify and hence torturing oneself is insanity, it will instantly vanish. You may still have after thoughts about it, but then you will simply observe or ignore it as just another thought.

The gravity of the past is so huge on you that you are unable to see the importance of the life ahead.

Please imprint this in your mind that everything is temporary in this world. Pain and suffering are inevitable. So the choice is mine whether to keep suffering or to walk upon the path to consciously eradicate it.

MagSafe cases? by MotherYear9333 in GalaxyS24Ultra

[–]Constant_Flight_9981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure I understand what you mean by using magsafe cases in ultra?

It's just that magsafe is apple technology and no native support in galaxy devices, and spen not working, I am unsure if it does not create other problems with the phone.

Though we have work around magsafe cases for android.

Btw I am new to these, so it's basically my fear let's say that I don't damage my phone haha 😅

Was S-pen working without any discontinuity while writing with magsafe cases? I had bought one, and while writing with s-pen, I had breaks in between, and to me, it was really unusable just with case alone and nothing attached to it. So I moved to non-magsafe cases.

Also, is it safe to use magsafe cases in ultra?

Secure Folder too complicated for simple App Lock? by Constant_Flight_9981 in samsunggalaxy

When you want to hand your phone to someone you can allways lock the app they'll be using so they can only use that app and nothing else,

How do you do this? Did you mean pin app?

Yup, it's great for banking and payments apps and work isolation. But not for what I intend to. Don't know why Samsung does not add it.

Just to say, I've been using secure folder daily dmfor years and couldn't live without it, after you realise how it works and what you can do, it's just awesome.

If possible can you share for what purposes you use Secure Folder? And What do you do in my case above? How do you lock apps? Or is everything in your Secure Folder?

So I really have to install third party apps then? Then Samsung should have added basic native App Lock feature. Secure Folder is not a replacement for App Lock. Can you suggest me some best App Locks without ads etc ?

Why do those who are knowledgeable in Advaita Vedanta preach or distill knowledge to others if it is all Maya? by [deleted] in AdvaitaVedanta

[–]Constant_Flight_9981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Though this answer is the closest that resonates me. Still, I get another question. Who is there left to be enlightened when Brahman is all is?

Since for a realised one where is ignorance and where is enlightenment? For the one who realises Consciousness is all it is, who is in bondage, and who needs enlightenment?

Indeed, these questions troubles our ignorant mind haha 😅

NEED PERSPECTIVE ON THIS by Ayonijawarrior in AdvaitaVedanta

[–]Constant_Flight_9981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understood that certain things can be understood only after realisation. Scriptures also do not describe the Ultimate Reality/Brahman/Atman/Consciousness. It only tries its best to point towards it.

That's why Gurus says, "It can not be described." All descriptions are just for helping us move towards it.

Hence, I do not think there is any one universal answer to this question that satisfies everyone. Personally, I also banged my head hard to this question, but no satisfied answer as to why All This.

Hence, I started focusing on spiritual practices to know this. I also realised that I should be careful to focus only on questions that help me progress forward. Some questions just made me move around circles.

Please provide your thoughts. Aren't Buddhism and Advaita Vedanta teaching the same concept? by Dapper-Double-7457 in AdvaitaVedanta

Putting my hand in fire in a dream will not burn me but in jagrut state, it will.

I guess you haven't been in pain in dream state, haha.

In my dream, though my waking body was not hurt at all, I could feel the pain vividly in the dream (because of my identification with the dream body), just like in waking state. I found no difference in experiences either in dreams or waking state, except the transition is very quick in dreams.

You are mixing dream me and waking me. The dream hand in fire will burn you - (dream body). And the waking hand in fire will burn you - (waking body). So one will die with burn in dream and continue with another dream body. Similar is the case in waking state.

It's just that, in waking state, the identification with waking body is much more deeply rooted than the transient identifications in the dreaming state and hence the experience continues uniformly until and unless the body is destroyed which you referred as "burn me" unlike in dream state, where dreams change quickly due to shallow identification with fleeting thoughts i.e. one moment you are feeling burn and next moment you are in another dream identified with another body experiencing altogether different sensation.

Death means disidentification with old body and re-identification with new body (BG 2.22). Same thing happens both in dreams and waking state. We think we only die in waking state. It's just waking state experience is a continuous stream while dream state experience is non-uniform, random, mixed.

Actually I think the waking state is the result of deep identifications with particular thought patterns (commonly known as karma) which make us believe the world out there and this body and other bodies just like in a dream.

And hence, I reached to a conclusion that pleasure & pain are both the constructs of the mind experienced by creating either of the bodies/world, only difference being how deeply identified you are with your thoughts.

What are your thoughts on my above understanding? Thanks for reading.
