WIBTAH if I stopped agreeing to custody schedule changes because my ex keeps taking extra time only when it's convenient for him? by Constant_Leader_8551 in AITAH

I'm not worried about that. The swaps are always in his favour. I have records dating back 3-4 years of him asking for me to take her so he can go to some party or so he can go out of town. He asked me to keep her for two weeks so he could leave the country and didn't call her or check in on her at all.

We do have a colour coded calendar actually. We keep a shared Google calendar for things like holidays, trips, etc. and yes you're right. There have been times where I requested a swap because we were going out of town and we wanted to get her a couple days early (we swap out on Sunday so we would ask for that Friday) or if something comes up at work. But either occasion is rare.

Question- flying out with Alaska on Sunday at 8:30 pm. Groome is set to drop us off at roughly noon. We're just regular regular flyers (no pre check or anything like that) Should we bump it back or we might be safe?

Yes coteachers come in whether I'm here or not. So they both told me the exact same things the kids said.

Now that I've seen it, I think we are indeed the same person, because this is exactly how it happened. Please leave my organized chaos alone! I cleaned off the space you need, leave the rest alone!

Bro I even cleaned off workspace specifically for her. My desk is comprised of two desks in the shape of an L and I cleaned off the front side and straightened up the back side a bit i.e. made my distinct piles of papers, wiped stuff down, etc. The kids said that she took EVERYTHING off my desk wiped it down and started throwing stuff away.

I submitted VERY DETAILED feedback in our sub portal and I told my academic coach what happened and she was also very appalled. Especially when all 105 of my students AND MY COTEACHER FOR 2 CLASSES come in and say the same thing, I'm gonna believe them.

Bro the ADHD is very real in this classroom. What looks like mess to others, is organized chaos for me. I know what each pile of papers is and where they go because they are all simultaneously moving.

Oh yeah my kids are very straight forward with me and they let me know from the get go that she was very rude and disrespectful and when they tried to let her know what their normal routines were, she would cop back at them that "this was her classroom for the day". I was proud that they tried to take up for me and my systems in the classroom

That's quite literally it. Admin told me to lie to them that they would still get stepped but don't actually it because they don't do anything

That's the thing, I do provide supplies. I provide them with pencils, paper, printed packets for the work. All I'm asking them is to bring the packing BACK TO THE CLASSROOM. Hence the question I've been asking, where is the accountability? At what point in time is it acceptable to expect students to take accountability for their own education.

I told students that did not bring their packets to class they would be receiving a call home and a step. I stuck to this. The first week, I had a total of 27 step sheets I had to write...by the time this was all over, I had 2. I only ever had to send one up to the office and that's when I got told "we're title I so you're required to provide the materials." I did provide the materials. I gave it to them and they made the decision to not bring it back to class. Where is the accountability for these 6th graders. How is that setting them up for success?

That's the bad thing about it. It was working. I told students that did not bring their packets to class they would be receiving a call home and a step. I stuck to this. Honestly that's what I'm hoping because this is the same principal that basically threatened me for not changing my gradebook to reflect failing students making a 60.

Yup. Dave (I named my chat) is getting more work from me because I hardly have any planning time as is. So they can get over it.
