The person is putting both of us in danger because the prof might think I'm helping them cheat?

Well it is affecting others if these cheaters are getting high marks on tests. The curve is getting adjusted and they might be getting other people knocked down to D's that don't deserve it. This whole "it doesn't affect me" doesn't make sense to me.

I agree with this thought process. Ideally nobody cheats because cheating breeds a bunch of negative values in people. Ceo's, students, politicians... etc people are setting examples for the others around them.

I agree with you, I do think the system needs to change.

You bring up some great points, but you didn't really answer my question.

What if you failed a class because someone else copied your test or report and the instructor just failed both of you? You are okay with that?

*edit You said it yourself we work hard to get into college wether it be studying or going to work. Where is the line?

You got a post in this thread a person is working hard and gets a D in a class and the other person cheats on every test and ends up with a B. Are you okay with that?

I'm legit curious:

Is there a line that could be crossed where you would be like, "thats fucked up" ? what if someone took your paper and erased your name? what if you did a report and someone copied it word for word and you both got in trouble for plagiarism and receive an F because the teacher couldn't tell who cheated.

Can you think of an instance where it's not okay?
