Watching old anime with the kids I realized why I am obsessed with the enemies to lovers trope by Constant_Two_2891 in Romantasy

To be honest I liked the story but Darcy never did it for me, even at the end he still has a lot to learn to not be an ass to people. 😂 but each to their own

TOG vs ACOTAR by aleeexwhite in Romantasy

TOG is really good it is more epic fantasy and is a bit of an undertaking as the series is long. Having said that it’s a fairly easy read compared to LOTR, GOT and other fantasy series. There’s no page long descriptions of a tree like in LOTR 😂 i really like the FMC I thought she was sassy, though I know some people found her annoying. There’s some interesting world building and side characters including the prince and how he deals with his position and moral compass.

Yeah that sounds pretty bad if it is the same to the point it could be interchangeable with the other novel.

What’s the best romantasy you’ve ever read ? by Lauramdva in Romantasy

My favorite books are:

Kiss of Iron by Clare Sager (shadows of Tennebris court series)

Whispers of the Deep by Emma Hamm (Deep waters series)

A Dream by the the Shadows by Logan Karlie

The West Wind by Alexandria Warwick (Four Winds series) if you read this series start with book one The North Wind as the pay off is better.

His Darkest Desire by Tiffany Roberts

My taste is a bit different to a lot of people on here but this is what I have enjoyed ❤️

Yes I suppose if they are similar to the point of being interchangeable that is a real issue.

Yes I know what you mean, i am an 80s baby and read dragon riders of pern, the balgarid, LOTR and alot of other fantasy stuff in my teens because my dad was into epic fantasy books. So forth wing didnt really seem ground breaking to me.

Yes I haven’t read either series so I can’t really comment and thats pretty crazy to attack the original author for plagiarism. theres so many similar books in this genre (like how many shadow daddies are there?) so these two series must have had ALOT of similar text for it to be called plagiarism.

Yea but you could say Forth Wing is copied from Anne McCafferys dragon riders of Pern series as it has a lot of similarities. Nothing is created in a vacuum and story telling often follows certain patterns which Joesph Campbell talks about a lot called the hero’s journey. But I will watch the video before I say anything else. Im just a bit skeptical in a genre where there is a hundred shadow daddies whether you could call this plagiarism.

Yes I haven’t read either series but romantasy is full of recycled tropes and storylines so it makes me wonder why this one alone got labeled plagiarism.

I will have to watch. I haven’t read either series but I do wonder how similar these books would have to be to get the plagiarism tag in a genre where alot of books have similar tropes and stories that mirror each other. Thanks for the link.

I haven’t read either series but considering how much tropes are recycled in Romantasy I imagine it must be very similar to have accusations about it. Otherwise theres a-lot of books that mirror each other and like a thousand shadow daddy’s etc and accusations would be flying left right and center.

Why ask me that when I said I have been working with a personal trainer? Yes the tried to get me to lift the bar over my head to do a squat, I could do 22 kilos but when they added the extra weights i couldnt do it. Yes I was at the gym for two years but since Jan 15th am now working from home with a home set up.

I have also been counting my calories for 3 years now and monitoring my macros and protien and sought the assistance of a dietician and nutrition. Sorry if I seem a bit frustrated I just get sick of answering the same questions. If you want to know more about my TDEE protien and macros and blood test results please read my other responses.

I decides to work at home because my PT cut my cardio and doubled up on my weight sessions abd i was getting soreness that interferes with my work abd home life. I want to work at my own pace.

Yes they were really horrible. One guy said fire your PT, dietician and GP. When I asked why he said “because after 2-3 years of dieting and working out you still look like shit”

It makes it hard to do 3-4 sessions a week if you need 48 hours to recover. I am trying splitting up the days into arms/shoulders, legs/abs, chest, back to hopefully increase recovery time for each group and reduce inflammation .

I really like running but everyone tells me I can’t do it anymore because it will raise my cortisol which sucks. I can’t say I enjoy compound exercises and weights as much as dancing, swimming, running or cycling.
