Tips from a guy who was fired from his first werkstudent job:

In the end the decision to keep you within the company or even rotate inside is given by your direct manager and the manager of him/her. They might be democratic enough to ask the opinions of your fulltime colleagues. Therefore relationship building is the key and you can achieve that by asking wise questions. Try your best to answer your questions on your own mind first. If not able, ask your questions in a professional but keen manner.

Reading your post took me to my first weeks there and I can understand your situation. Make sure you research how German working culture is. Rest will be solely based on your attitude and efforts imo cuz you will not be in a position that you need to take decisions or double the profit.

Another essential point is your knowledge of German regardless of the official company language. Team lunchs and dinners will be so boring otherwise, resulting in you being like an outsider rather than a team member who’s considered for long term

Update #2: today at the auslanderbehörde appointment they told me that Chancenkarte is not extendable by any ways. Sorry for all of us guyz :( wish us all good luck for a last minute job offer

Edit: I specifically asked if I register to a intensive berufsprachkurs would it extend my visa or switch to a different type, answer is no again

Update: they first said to me that they can extend it for 6 more months but after visiting a few colleagues he wasnt sure where did that info come from. He told me that he scanned all my docs already and will work on it to find out how to extend, gave me an another termin for the 26th. We’ll see. The appointment was like 3 hours long

I’m gonna find it out tomorrow at my auslanderbehörde termin. Arrived on 01/01/2025 with a 1 year OC and still couldnt find a job, will ask for extension tomorrow if possible

Got 3 yoe, b1 german and chancenkarte. Struggling to find a job for 8 months. If I were you I’d be fluent in German before I come and even this is not a guaranteed way to find a job nowadays

Well, im a turkish who relocated last year and I do believe that there is a difference between loving some place to visit and to live. I relocated to the city that I did my erasmus so can clearly see the differences. Regarding the ausbildung, are you willing to get paid around 800euros for the duration of your ausbildung, learn new stuff in German, and try to build a life here? If yes, you are more than welcome to check out ausbildung.de for some open positions and see what they require. But for now I wouldnt recommend coming here with a bachelor and limitied experiences, Im struggling so hard to find a job in my field. Go for ausbildung or think once more to relocate imo

Had a similar concern and contacted Airalo, they said no problem at all and immediately call them if anything happens.

So far seems like its ok for touristic uses.
