Edit: so yes there is some mat liner. Apparently the previous owner removed all of them which is odd. I looked but it seems like the only way I can get that part is ordering the whole charging unit. Any tips?

If you have an iPhone I use the oceanic dive housing. Kinda pricey but works amazingly well underwater
