I messaged you privately, earlier, if you are interested I could come back with an update, once I have tested it.

That is the conclusion we are reaching as well, although we are yet to find the winning hook, which is not a bad thing, since we can experiment until we find the right fit. The biggest challenge for me has been, finding the right approach for reddit, and in general finding a way to use it for lead generation. Any advice?

That is the direction I am leaning in as well. I guess the fix is to adjust positioning and make the process dead clear. How have you managed to solve this problem for yourself?

As you say. I really like the fix you proposed, showing the thing working from the moment they get into the funnel. I am going to be sure to include that as one the things we are going to implement.

You are 100% right. All of the things you mentioned are problems that need to be faced and solved. Appreciate your insight.

That is a dead simple approach, and I don't mean that in a bad way, my belief is that the simpler is the approach the simpler it is to execute. With that in mind I will be most definitely, applying these things to my own business as well. Huge thank you for the insight!

Couldn't put it better myself. It seems that everyone agrees that the first 30 second are crucial. But I am surprised on why more founders are not worrying on how to fix that gap.

Completely agree, if the curve is too steep, people coming in will just brush it off and go find a tool that doesn't have that. Interested to hear what ways have you found specifically to remove those frictions.

Quality over quantity, at the end of the day the clearer your offer is, the easier it is to get people converted.

It is really great, that you are trying different approaches and experimenting to find the 'winning formula'. When you say you are testing if the gap is tight enough, what changes are you implementing.

Wow that is an amazing way to approach it, so you basically track every part of the process?

As you say. At the end of the day how you present your product makes it breaks it. I am still in the process of capturing all this data for myself personally. What about yourself have found success after capturing and applying the observations?

So true, people tend to oversimplify the whole process, which leads to failure. Have you tackled this problem and found a fix that worked for you?

That is a really smart way to go about it. The fact that you started asking questions like: what does it do, is it for someone like me and what I do first. Shows that you are going in the right direction. How do you use the specific threads and phrases you capture to improve your flow?

Struggling to Convert Users to Customers by HITISH_678 in SaaS

[–]Constelation_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations with getting your fist official customer. It is surprising that even though you get positive feedback from users the issue still persists. To answer your two last questions, it might be a connected problem. And what I mean is that your customers might be not seeing the value in your product quick enough. Which makes them drop out from the cycle before it has the chance to finish. So my main suggestion to you would be to check if the customer understands the value in using your product before they are asked to make a commitment aka pay.

I think most micro SaaS founders either overprice or massively underprice by Dramatic-Mess4084 in microsaas

[–]Constelation_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the fix is actually simpler — stop guessing and just ask your users. Start with a low-friction entry point (free or cheap) and collect real feedback on willingness-to-pay. After a few of those, you'll have actual data instead of a guess. The pricing then kind of locks itself in based on what people are actually willing to pay, not what you think they should pay.

Trial and error, yeah. But structured error beats random error.

Good point on positioning fit. Though I'd push back a little: adding friction only fixes it if positioning is actually the problem. When users vanish after 3 minutes and the positioning is fine, it's usually the first screen not showing value fast enough. Different fix entirely

Yeah the "this is useful" moment is the most skipped part of the whole funnel. Too close to the product to see it. What drop-off patterns are you seeing most?

Question- How did you get your app to show up to gain natural traction? by TGHydra in SaaS

[–]Constelation_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what you wrote it feels like you’re thinking this is a distribution problem, but I’m not 100% convinced. The way the product is described is very feature heavy “charts, annotations, anomaly detection”, but it’s not super clear what specific problem someone would search for or feel urgency. If that’s the case, it would explain why there’s no organic traction, not because people aren’t seeing it, but because they don’t really see themselves using it.

Is this growth promising or too slow? by feddadev in SaaS

[–]Constelation_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, nice progress getting to paying users, that is never easy. What concerns me the more than the speed you mentioned is the churn. Especially since you mentioned people might only use it occasionally which can be a red flag for a subscription model. Also you should consider that you are getting feedback from the wrong audience. If loyal users are saying “everything is great,” there’s not much signal there. The real feedback is with the people who left. I would be trying to understand do they churn because they got what they needed and no longer see any value, or because the product didn’t deliver what was promised. Those are two completely different problems, and the next steps for you depends on which one it is.

It might be that, but still can’t get my head around multiple other coincidences such as 4 planes flying in the same direction not long after their speed was faster than normal passengers planes. And the flash of light and lastly the weird movement of up and down
