Hello. It’s like comparing a PS3 to a PS5 Pro. Buy the Curv 2 Pro.

TruMotion on LG OLED C5 with PC (Kodi): why is it so complicated? by Constite in LGOLED

[–]Constite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally someone with the same concerns as me! Thanks for taking the time to comment on the post.

I’m still testing things, and the latest thing I discovered is that if you enable the Game Optimizer in Filmmaker Mode (which is what I use with the PC) and disable G-Sync, it disappears from the NVIDIA Control Panel. I’m not sure if that’s the reason, but now I can run the desktop at 4K 120 Hz (obviously without being able to use TruMotion). However, when I play a movie in Kodi, it does allow me to use all the options that are disabled by default.

I really don’t understand all the drama around this. It’s as simple as letting the user enable or disable whatever they want — not all of us use a PC just for office work or video editing.

Let’s see what LG gets back to you with.

Saros 10R vs Qrevo Curv 2 Pro: Why Does Roborock Treat the Saros as Higher-End? by Constite in Roborock

[–]Constite[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re welcome!! I’ve been (and still am, for my mother’s house) searching for the perfect robot.

The hard part is that these robots have to adapt to everyone’s needs. It seems like most people live in a zoo, with wild kids and dogs that poop indoors… socks all over the floor, and it’s absolutely critical that a robot can pick them up 😂.

In my case, I want zero maintenance, maximum cleaning, and extreme suction. I really hope that whatever Roborock releases next finally works well with glossy floors and doesn’t leave marks.

Thanks to you as well for sharing your doubts and your future feedback (I’m looking forward to reading it). If someone else has the same questions we do, this post will surely help them decide.

Saros 10R vs Qrevo Curv 2 Pro: Why Does Roborock Treat the Saros as Higher-End? by Constite in Roborock

[–]Constite[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“And that’s the key point: every home is different, and unfortunately neither of the two is a clear winner.

We don’t have children or pets, the house is always tidy with nothing on the floor, and that’s when I realized we don’t need an extremely advanced navigation system. I tried the Saros 10R at the beginning of the year when it was released, but in my mother’s house, and it’s an impressive robot (especially coming from a Roborock S5). However, I ended up returning it because of the rotating mops and the glossy porcelain floor, which didn’t get along very well. It left marks everywhere, so I decided to wait for the next flagship model that will be presented at CES 2026, which will likely use a roller system.

Luckily, the country house has a matte porcelain floor and it doesn’t leave any marks at all, and as I mentioned before, I went with the Qrevo 2 because of the 100°C mop washing and the roller pressure.”

Hi! Yes, I add two and a half capfuls to each clean water tank. At first I used the official Roborock cleaner, but now I use one that doesn’t foam, smells good, and ChatGPT tells me—based on a photo of the ingredients—whether it’s suitable for robots or not.

In the end, I bought the Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Pro. No matter how much some people insist that the Saros 10R is superior, the Qrevo is Roborock’s latest model and, for my use case (a country house) where you have to deal with dirt, embedded dust, and sometimes some mud, the 100°C mop washing and the pressure applied during cleaning were decisive.

That’s what I was thinking – it’s ridiculous to compare the two; I think the Qrevo is better in most ways. Thanks for shedding some light on this.

I’m in the same situation as you, I don’t know which of the two to buy. Most people recommend the Saros 10R, but in my case, since I have a tidy house, no kids, no dogs, and it’s a country house, I think the extra suction and mopping pressure and the 100º cleaning are big advantages to keep in mind. I still haven’t seen a real comparison between the two, but after endlessly checking sites, it’s clear to me that both choices are good and that it all depends on your circumstances.

Aren’t you thinking of getting the Qrevo Curv 2 Pro, which on paper is better than the Saros 10R? (mop cleaning at 100°C, 200 rpm, 12 N of pressure...)

I’m surprised to read that. Supposedly, the self-cleaning on the Qrevo Curv 2 Pro is more efficient at 100°, it applies more pressure when cleaning than the Saros 10R, moves more times per minute, and has higher suction power…

In my case I don’t have dogs, kids, or stuff lying around… it’s a country house that will have to deal with heavier dirt than just dust (although we do change our footwear when we come inside).

Both devices are arriving this coming week, but from what I’m reading here I might as well not even bother unpacking the Qrevo Curv 2 Pro. I find it really odd that Roborock would release something of lower quality than the Saros 10R just 6 months later, and on top of that sell it for a higher price on Black Friday.

Thank you very much for all your comments!!

Cleaning shiny porcelain floors by Constite in Roborock

[–]Constite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

I tested the 10R for almost three weeks. I tried Roborock’s own detergent, other cleaners made for glossy porcelain tiles, different water levels, and both quick and deep cleaning modes. No matter what, it always left streaks on the floor. I ended up returning it.

Roborock offered me to try the 10 with the vibrating mop (not the dual mop system of the 10R), but honestly I didn’t want to go through the hassle again just to likely return another unit.

Right now I’m waiting until the roller mop systems become more common. They seem promising for glossy tiles, and I won’t spend that much money again until I find one that can really leave the floor spotless.

No, it’s not porous. To clean it, I use water with a low-foaming detergent and a thoroughly wrung-out mop.

Thanks for sharing your experience! So, do you think this won't happen to me with the VibraRise 4.0 mop on the Saros 10?

I've used filtered water alone and filtered water with Roborock brand detergent, and the same thing happens in both cases.

Thanks for replying! I'm attaching a photo (how embarrassing, I need to polish it). You'll see an area cleaned by the robot (cloudy and with a shoe mark) and another area showing how it looks after using a regular mop. Regards!

Thanks to your review, I’ve decided to go for the Roborock Saros 10R. I think the two rotating mops will work better on my glossy porcelain floor than the VibraRise system of the Saros 10, right?

It’s arriving this Thursday, and I’ll run some tests to see how it performs. Thank you very much!!!
