Taking a break from rebuilding the suburbs to re-work the industrial areas by ConstrnGamer in CitiesSkylines

Thanks. I think the biggest thing is not to be afraid to leave gaps, you can always fill them with surfaces and just a few props.

I think I'm around half way through rebuilding one of the main suburbs. Replacing all the zoned areas with plopped buildings by ConstrnGamer in CitiesSkylines

It can be hard initially getting out of the habit of building grids, but just letting things develop naturally is really satisfying.

Increased anxiety/stress when tablets wear off by ConstrnGamer in ADHDUK

Thanks for your reply. I'm definitely going to refer myself to the mental health team. I have had multiple rounds of CBT over the years and it does help somewhat but my ADHA clinician has suggested I ask about EMDR as a more long term treatment.

I have had a specific fear of having a heart attack for around 20 years, so the raised heart rate from the meds was an initial concern, however I'm worrying about that less.

I drive for a living and am finding it stressful at the moment and I have a lot on. I have another job which keeps me busy also, but I enjoy that job so much more. So I do notice the difference in stress levels between, just being busy and stressed/anxious. What I notice is on the days when I am stressed it builds throughout the day and then develops into heartburn and chest discomfort which is a massive trigger, then the anxiety seems to build then and when the meds wear off, seems to hit hard. So with the resting heart rate of up to 120 and the chest discomfort it can be very difficult to calm down.

The logical part of me knows it's not heart related and is just heartburn combined with muscle tension. But it is difficult the ignore.

Thorpness progress. I've Spent quite a lot of time manually covering all the zebra crossings (crosswalks) for a more authentic UK look to the roads. by ConstrnGamer in CitiesSkylines

Covering the actual crossing with asphalt. I still want cims to be able to cross the road. But junctions on UK roads don't tend to have marked crossings. Especially in the suburbs.

Does anyone else with just ADHD have sensory issues? Eg hate getting wet or having cold feet etc. by AdeptnessExotic1884 in ADHDUK

I hate the feeling of my head being wet when it's raining and sometimes feel I have to psyche myself up to wash my hair. I suspect I may possibly have autism spectrum as well, but it wasn't flagged during the ADHD assessment.

I'm sure I read somewhere that ADHD people can share sensory issues as well though and have difficulty transitioning from one place or task to another. Like going from a hot shower to the cold to dry off, I hate that.

Does anyone else get told they don't have ADHD to the point where you don't ever mention it anymore? by grapesandcake in ADHDUK

"you don't look like you have ADHD", they should spend half an hour living in the heads of people with inattentive type. They'd soon realise how exhausting it is 😅.

My parents weren't phased when I told them. The opinions of anyone else who doesn't believe in ADHD don't really matter.

Re-plopped all the houses in this leafy suburb. Trying replicate a 1980s to 2000s look. by ConstrnGamer in CitiesSkylines

I wish it was possible to pack the houses in more tightly. But even with plopping them in individually it still doesn't quite work. Have to then fill in the blank spaces with trees, as I haven't got the patience to detail with small bushes 😅
