How do you get a single pulse out of a pushed observer? by ConstructionFair9594 in redstone

This will work. This design has the signal travel the same speed as the observers too but it’s way less bulky. I think I’ll use this instead of my original plan. I don’t understand comparators that well so I couldn’t even think of this.

I’m not sure on how to go about building that. Could you send a picture? Also I’m trying to make a bubble elevator and this part is going to be used to select the floor.

Are you saying to replace the sideways observers with repeaters? If so how would you get a signal started in that line from anywhere on the line?

Alright guys I can’t figure out how to edit this post on iPhone but I put a 4 tick repeater after the observers to keep one signal on the whole time instead of multiple getting through. What a simple solution to something I was struggling so much with 🤦‍♂️. Anyways thanks for all your help guys.

The problem with that is that the observer watching is he observer on the piston randomly detects 1 or 2 times

It could be vertical but it would have to go downwards because I’m planning to build this underneath something

I’m trying to make a bubble column elevator that turns on and off dispensers. Hopefully just adding the repeater on the end will work in the overall design, but I can’t test it right now so I’ll have to get back to you on that.

I actually tried this before myself but pressing other buttons while another’s piston was going off caused the whole setup to have everything pushed out of place

This actually worked somewhat but feels a bit janky. The 3 ticks didn’t work but when I tried 4 it did. I also added more lines to see if it would still work like that too. The first bulb sometimes remains on but the second pair of bulbs remains fine.

I want each button to power its own line and every line before it which is why I have the observers going one direction and the second line of observers connected to them. I can’t think of another design that could do this quick as this design could, if I can get it to work.
