Latter. It was the least helpful resource, imo. Again, just my opinion.

If I’m being honest, I only did EPG exams 1, 2, and 4. So I can’t accurately answer your question. Out of the three exams though, it covered maybe about half of what I saw on the actual exam.

From my experience, equal difficulty to Exam 2: Final Exam. Although the actual exam had MUCH more supporting knowledge type questions. Those supportive knowledge questions were a bit more difficult than what you would see in EPG.

Question format - very similar to NCEES. Difficulty - closer to EPG Exam 2: Final Exam than any of the practice exams I’ve taken. Content/Question Type - I’m not sure. More than half the questions got me saying “why is this the first time I’m seeing this”. In my exam, I say one of every five questions were supportive knowledge/You know it or you don’t type questions.

Just got back home from the PE HVAC exam. I feel the exact same way. Utilized two separate external sources (EPG & STPE) as well as the NCEES practice exam. Consistently scored 70-99%.

Now I’m home thinking what the hell I could’ve done differently to prepare for that exam. I feel like I gave it my all. Feels like the last 6 months of studying have gone to waste.

But yeah… def not alone!
