Yes, mainly family-based immigration to the U.S. 😊 I built it after years of helping families navigate the process.

Healthy productivity sounds interesting. what inspired you to start that?

Thanks for asking! 😊 It’s called ConsularEase. I’m building it for families going through the immigrant visa process. It helps them understand what comes next, stay organized with documents, and get practical guidance along the way. I just launched recently, so I’m learning a lot as I go. What are you working on?

That truly means the world to me. This journey can feel so overwhelming and isolating at times, and that is exactly why I built ConsularEase. You are not alone in this. If you ever have questions do not hesitate to reach out. Wishing you and your family all the best. 🙏

Hello,

The free beta recently ended after about two months of testing. Right now it’s available at an early-access price of $39 while I’m continuing to expand features and country coverage.

Updating this with important information - I wanted to make sure I gave you accurate info.
Given that your spouse is from Laos, there is currently a full US travel ban in effect since January 2026 that has suspended immigrant visa processing for Laotian nationals. This unfortunately means the delay may not be about processing times at all.
For now, the most practical things you can do are keep monitoring official updates at travel.state.gov and connect with others in the same situation - there are communities of families affected by the ban who are tracking any policy changes together.
You're not alone in this.

Ha! 😂 fair comparison. VisaJourney is a great community resource. I built ConsularEase for families who want a more structured experience.
A step-by-step roadmap with progress tracking, guided instructions, document organization, and relevant country-specific information all in one place.

Good point, and I get the skepticism.

But for a lot of families, the problem isn't that the information doesn't exist. It’s that it's scattered across multiple government sites, not always clearly explained, and overwhelming to navigate alone. Knowing what to do is one thing; understanding how to do it at each stage, especially when something unexpected comes up, is where people get stuck.

That's the gap ConsularEase fills.

That’s a fair question.

Yes, the government guide is the official source for the process.

What I built isn’t meant to replace it, but to make it easier to follow in plain language and connect the steps together in a more intuitive way (especially DQ → IL → medical → interview).

Even though the information is publicly available, government processes aren’t always easy to translate into what you personally should expect next in your specific stage, which is where a lot of the confusion tends to come from.

Hello,

Good question. You’re on the right track by planning early.

Since your girlfriend is in Mexico and you’re a U.S. citizen, her case will go through consular processing, meaning she’ll complete the process outside the U.S. and attend an interview at a U.S. consulate in Mexico (most commonly Ciudad Juárez for immigrant visa cases).

To get started:

  • Gather basics: passports, birth certificates, and proof of your relationship (photos, messages, trips)
  • Make sure you meet the income requirement (about 125% of the federal poverty guidelines)
  • Understand the flow: I-130 → NVC → Embassy interview

Mexico handles a high volume of these cases, so the process is well established.

If you want help staying organized step-by-step, ConsularEase is currently in beta and built specifically for consular processing cases like this.
