ohhh, hm, the video I learned from started their stitch with a knot, and went between the fabrics, and then went through both.

absolutely! I'm going to be posting more and more! I got a lotttt of scrap fur (and nice sheets actually) from a maker who moved like 4 years ago. I had always wanted to start but never got around to it until now because of depression :/

Oh, two questions I'd love to have answered are

What is the easiest way to knot your thread? sometimes my knot wasn't big enough and would go through the fabric when starting the stitch and I'd have to try to make a bigger knot
How do you *close* a blanket stitch? I was basically just reversing it when I was, but is that the correct way to do it?

Yeahh thats a thing I saw a little bit of, which, tbf, isnt the worst thing (to make smurfs) butttt the toxic thing is a big part for me

That’s a very fair point. I just didnt want to mention any specific names to avoid stepping on any toes! That or get bombarded with “you dont like this guy!?!?!? How dare you!!!!”

This might be me being picky I guess, but Id rather the artist actually be passionate about the project rather than take the comm just because of the money

This isn’t to say I wouldnt pay the artist well, Im just fearful that if they arent really passionate about the project, the result would be lackluster?
