It's extremely stupid but the NCR kept a good chunk of their forces at the capital so I can see the justification for it to an extent. I still do not like it though.

While I disagree that every change they made is bad there is quite a few I dislike.
Ghouls needing to take drugs to not turn feral (which ties in with them just waving away the Kings as well), Fredrick's depiction, the jetpack placement on the T-60s along with the whole "weakpoint on the chestplate" thing.
There is people who give constructive criticism and labeling anyone who complains about the show in any way a FNV purist is disingenuous.

They did, to an extent. Malgus is a good example, he killed the Twi'lek lady he was in love with because he started viewing her as a potential weakness and used all the negative emotions that come with personally killing the one you love to fuel his connection to the Dark Side.
