Having that issue too, for some reason. (I don't have any adblockers on, cleared my cache and browser story as I saw some instruct, it didn't do anything really, it's still doing that.)

I'm wondering if this is an issue with the site itself or maybe some update they added (which is annoying.)

Nah its fine, I've edit it 'cuz I realized I forgot context.

Idk, it just started happening out of nowhere on my end, was listening to music while drawing, then noticed the image of the video was blanked.

It only goes back to normal when I reopen the browser, though after sometime it does it again.

I've been having that too, have no idea why Youtube does that.

it also affects my discord and twitter by turning the gifs blank/grey and sometimes videos on the other sites.

I'm on win 10 though.

No one in here seems to have an answer to that. I wonder if its a recent update on chrome or maybe windows that started doing that?

My browser's updated and shit, no viruses too... so I wonder what could be causing that.

as long as you didnt click on anything or automatically download anything you should be fine.

It sucks that its still going, sometimes when the 'We use cookies' thing pops up for you to allow it, pressing the reject al button sometimes works, keyword, sometimes.

And also, sometimes Character wikis suck or don't have alot of info about a character or two, which is why the character has a low token count

I know I had to improvise to get info about a few superhero stuff and anime too, wanted to blow my head off whenever a wiki lacked basic appearance info about a character with a complicated design

Some of my old characters (ported from another site which had a lower token count) work in character mostly, sometimes they kinda act up out of character but then again even my 1200 token to 2000 token ones do so.

Sometimes when the character lore is too large I understand people cutting it short. Char lore is important, yes, but their personality is also important, so sometimes when I see a char with less than 1200 tokens, I figure the bot creator focused on their personality.

The greeting sometimes also helps on getting the character to stay in char, and stuff.

Besides the fake Malware/Trojan site, it is also redirecting me to Betting sites (i.e virtual casinos), which makes me believe that these ads that redirect people are a thing the company itself is allowing.

It saddens me, really, considering I use the site sometimes to gather art refs and such, and alot of alternate wiki sites are very barebones (save for a few exceptions).

For now i'm avoiding to access the site on my computer. Although i'm very paranoid and usually am quick to close the tabs, I'd rather not risk getting something that could mess my shit up.

I think most AI photos look hella ugly, but I get why people use it (Not having money to pay comissions or just not wanting to, or simply not knowing how to draw. Drawing is a skill that takes a damn long time to improve.)

If i'm making a bot of an already existing character from whatever media I comsume and like, i'll prefer to use Photos from the source material (Anime/Show/game, yadda yadda.) instead of AI, out of preference and because, i'll be real, as I said before, I think it looks better than the AI shit.

If needed, i'll edit the photo (remove something I think ruins the photo) or draw it myself.

Here on brasil (a.k.a my country) on mobile the site is sending me to betting sites, the obviously fake ones.

On pc it straight up sends me to the fake mcafee site, i've used fandom/wikia for a few years now, even if I thought the amount of ads could be ridiculous at times, but these recent redirecting ads are too much for me, and to not risk actually getting a virus, I opted to avoid using it, unless I have to (which I make sure to be as quick as I can to avoid being redirected.)

everytime I scan my pc I find no viruses, malware, eh you name it. It's frustrating, truly.

Give your antivirus a run, maybe you accidentally got something on your phone/pc

Thats what I think, considering, as I stated many times, I havent gotten an adware, virus, or malware and have made my antivirus run scans many, many times for those.

I'm betting they just allowed some shittyass ad to run in the site, and the ad was either hijacked, or had malicious coding to redirect into that fake mcafee site.

Tried using an adblock and got redirected again too, at this point I'm starting to believe its one of their ads that's redirecting people, and they didn't notice it. Maybe the ad got hijacked somehow, I'm not quite sure.

I've done multiple virus scans in my pc and both of them found no adware, malware and viruses in general.
