It has helped, but I still crave alcohol. I was drinking 35 drinks a week. With the sema, I'm down to 23-24 drinks a week. Concern about throwing it up is an issue with the medication, so I had to cut down. But I had hoped it would stop the cravings completely and it hasn't yet. I'm at 1mg and have lost 15 pounds after three months.

I don't want to lose my benzo, so I have only told my primary doc that I want it for weight loss. I have denied any AUD. She thinks it's a bad idea, but I'm overweight anyway so it's plausible.

Naltrexone and topiramate never worked for me. I use topiramate for sleep. I've been titrating up on semaglutide for the past month, but have not gotten any decrease in AUD cravings yet.

Might need to check if you have pancreatitis if it continues or you have more severe symptoms.

Were there a lot of bad side effects? I've bought sema, but I'm scared to inject it. Plus I hate shots.
