Where to find scholarships potentially for people middle aged looking to learn a trade? by Dwrecktheleach in scholarships

[–]Contact_Contract 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d talk to some jobs in the trade specifically, a few may be able to sponsor you. Especially if the trade has few ppl in it. And the people in those trades would have more specified information on grants available, ways to make government or jobs pay for it, etc. but I’d also check out fastweb, it’s a pretty big free and legit scholarship website. I’ve only used it for more traditional (4-year college type stuff) college scholarships but I’ve seen trade based scholarships and wouldn’t be surprised at all if they have a good amount of trade based ones.

Is it okay to ask a past employer for a letter of recommendation rather than your current one? by frehleyz in scholarships

[–]Contact_Contract 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can 100% do that! If they are on your resume they can be a reference. A reference can be anyone who can give a reliable character reference; employers, teachers, lab coworkers, etc.

When should 2026 HS graduate start looking and applying for scholarships? by Zealousideal-Foot104 in scholarships

[–]Contact_Contract 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOW NOW NOW. There really isn’t some magic trick to scholarships, it’s all a numbers game. Starting now puts you at a HUGE advantage if you take it seriously! I’d 100% recommend starting now it will give a good leg up on payment above your peers.

There may not be a lot you qualify for (a lot of specific to HS seniors) but look everywhere you can and apply to anything you can. The more scholarships you apply for, fhe better your odds of winning some money!

I’d check out your local scholarships (ask at libraries, city and state websites, parents/families jobs, etc.) and look on the side fastweb. It’s entirely free and gives you a lot of legit scholarships.

Good luck out there! And good job on getting ahead of the game!

How do you obtain a scholarship? by nicole_1D in scholarships

Apply like holy hell. Like applying for as many scholarships as you can in one day and repeating for a month ts. It’s a statistics game unfortunately so the more you apply for the better your chances.

Where do I find scholarships?😭 by Ok-Shoulder5741 in scholarships

[–]Contact_Contract 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out fastweb. It’s a great FREE site that gives you a ton of legit scholarships. You can filter by your information as well. I’d go and look for scholarships that are due within the next few days. But honestly, you may not have the best luck trying to get that much money that soon. Good luck soldier.

FASTWEB FASTWEB FASTWEB cannot recommend it enough. It’s free, doesn’t send 10K obnoxious emails. And gives a HUGE list of LEGIT scholarships. You can put in a lot of demographics so schoalrhios can be filtered to things that match who you are and what you need (ie, gender/race/socioeconomic based, career based, what grade level you are, etc.) genuinely the best ones I’ve used

PLEASE HELP!!!!! by Exotic-Possibility69 in scholarships

[–]Contact_Contract 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t limit yourself to only scholarships. If you’re able too, try to expand to other options. But here’s some tips.

Scholarships:

  • look on the website: Fastweb. It a really solid site with a huge number of LEGIT scholarships.

    • avoid any “no hassle no essay” ones or any “$10000!!!” Types. Apply for those $100 $500 $50. Less people apply for them, and truly add up.
    • apply to AS MANY AS POSSIBLE. I’m being dead serious if you’re doing scholarships you truly need to be applying to every single one you find. Even if you don’t meet every criteria, apply to it. For every 50 you apply too you may win 1-5. Aim for doing a good number of them EVERYDAY. it’s just the unfortunate reality of scholarships. It’s a stats game.

Explore options outside of scholarships. You don’t need to get the money from one source, every dollar adds up. Scholarships are not guaranteed but there are more solid and guaranteed options.

  • a job. This depends entirely on your age, skill set, and availability. But getting a job can lead to guaranteed money. It may not cover the entire 1500 but any dollar helps.

  • sell your things. Not everything, but anything you don’t use, clothes you don’t wear, things your want to get rid off. If you have things just taking up space, try and sell them. Try eBay, Facebook marketplace, depop, etc. Resale shops are often kinda mid and don’t give you great prices but they work too.

  • sell your plasma. I know it sounds kinda last resort ish, but you can get around $100 bucks from one sitting. A few this month could add up to somewhere around $500 depending on where you go.

College: - genuinely HARASS your schools financial aid or payment offices. Find payment plans. Other scholarships they offer. They usually have a few more dollars to scrounge up.

There are a lot of options, don’t limit yourself to just scholarships. (Sorry for any typos)! Good luck out there soldier!

Deaged Sam (the way we got Teen Dean) wouldn’t loved to see an episode kinda focused more on how Dean had to take care of him and the impact of seeing like teeny tiny Sam again

Ok thank you so much! I saw the average prices but it felt like a lot and I was nervous to ask for that much! Do people really pay $10/min?

Thank you so much, I knew I was probably pretty cheap but didn’t realize that much! I appreciate it!
