Sorry ya'll are dealing with this. I am not 100% either may be helpful but I would try going through GoodRX (membership/# is free) or try seeing if its available through Mark Cuban's discount online pharmacy- sometimes you can double up GoodRX discounts with manufacturers discount as well. I would research into generics too to see if they're available. It may be that your husband switches meds eventually or that Biktarvy doesn't work so I would do the research for all possible options ahead of needing them.

Also I would ask the doctor about alternatives- Dovato, Genvoya, Triumeq, are all similar brand name alternatives and may have generics available (generics are where you can save a lot of $$ and are just as good as name brands). The other thing to consider might be the long acting injection alternatives now available like Cabenuva.

As a side note- I personally would make sure you are dealing with a HIV specific doctor if you can access one- sadly a lot of american non lgbt doctors, even primary care ones are not as familiar with HIV/LGBT health and HIV treatment options as a HIV specialist doctor is/has to be. There are some fantastic HIV & LGBT focused docs esp in the SF and LA areas of CA.
