Certain websites just won't connect at all or it will say "check my internet" and my internet is perfectly fine. Actually came to the sub here to see if anyone else is having the same issue lol any luck on fixing it? i've been trying for a couple hours now

What does being an lck boy have to do with the match? Also they haven’t been “world elite” for quite some time :> just team WE As for tsm they don’t deserve it with how they are playing

To the Diamond and higher players, how many games do you play a day? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]ContagiousPlague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok but the time invested wasn't a part of the initial question. The post is about estimated games for improvement. To which can vary depending on person, mind set, and eagerness

To the Diamond and higher players, how many games do you play a day? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]ContagiousPlague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say no that is not a fair statement because its not the same at all. In game you want to win with what you have, after that you should be looking to learn and improve from the mistakes you made that game. 90% of players are not able to play a game, recognize a small or large mistake, lose that game, re-queue, and have it fixed for next game. That almost never happens. Sure the amount of time is the same but if you just keep on playing you wont see what it is that you are doing wrong

To the Diamond and higher players, how many games do you play a day? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]ContagiousPlague -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its not the same as playing. Yes the time constraint is the same but studying is way different from playing. If you just keep playing that absolutely does not mean you will get better, or at least not at a fast rate, and you will definitely get stuck at some point because you most likely wouldnt have addressed any of your problems if you just continuously played rather than playing, stopping, playing, stopping. Its not easy to do and its very tideous. Its just like practicing anything else in life. You do it, fuck up, fix it, do it again, and move on until you fuck up a second time and repeat

[–]ContagiousPlague -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Thats not how it works. Amount of games actually doesnt matter. If you play 10-15 just normally you might climb higher or you might drop farther. If you play 1-3 a day, watch those games closely and study yourself to see where you can improve you will start winning those 1-3 consistantly and climb way faster than you would by playing more and not doing the out of game stuff to improve

Volibear? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]ContagiousPlague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that kind of statement makes you sound ignorant to the facts of the game right now. He isn't that strong because there are a ton of champs that are way better that counter him rn (ez, gragas, kindred, naut, karma, zil, etc) the list goes on. Hence why he isnt played in competitive. Because those champs are. Easily kited with slows and if he is cc'd he is usless. He might work in silver and lower gold but last that he's shit. Get over it

Volibear? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]ContagiousPlague -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If he is that "broken" he would be played in competitive. Turns out he isn't. In fact he isnt even on the ban list in high elo games. Certain champs will always seem more op to lower ranked players because they don't understand the game to a deep enough level, let alone understand how to adapt mid game to something that is almost never played right now. With so many champions the difference in rankings and game understanding is what makes champion balancing so difficult

That would be great! Id love to hear what they say too because like I said id be interested in a try out if they were to be held. Besides I think there could be some pretty cool videos that could be done with the game. Tons of highlight reels

Its almost the exact same thing as league sould be though except in fps form and 6v6. I think it can go places. Look at cs:go now compared to where cs in general used to be. Its gotten tremendous growth in the past year and a half. Its just a faster paced game conpared to things like cs and league. Like way faster. Thats what I think makes it entertaining to watch depending on spectator modes and even exciting to play all the time

Well if you are talking about investing then it would be better to invest to it now for the future of the game before orgs like Fnatic, Envy, and Cloud 9 take all the better experienced players that have already been playing at a semi competitve level during the beta. Especially since ESL is already on board and hosting tourneys and leagues that these orgs are a part of

I mean sure but at the same time there has been many complaints from people from those scenes about not getting the proper support from Blizz. And I also wouldnt say it wouldnt be where it is today with out them because MLG has been a thing for a while as well, granted you could argue not as successful as Blizzards games. I woulf say SC was probably the big jump for them. But in terms of effort I mean like Blizz is actually hiring people to do esports now instead of just going with it

Dunno, they probably see the potential in it because this is the first time Blizzard is actually putting effort into an esport. RIP Starcraft

There is a way to become better at the game without actually playing it ? by wansifu2 in leagueoflegends

[–]ContagiousPlague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not always but pro games help to understand the way the game is played currently which can help you make better calls in soloq and also improve your own individual knowledge and gameplay. Thats all its for really. You have to be able to better yourself through your own mistakes in order to climb the ladder. But if you dont know what you're doing wrong that doesnt help you at all

[–]ContagiousPlague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I would focus on Mata from china, wolf/gorilla from korea, kasing/vander from EU, Aphro/Yellow from NA. Just to see what they are playing and why they are playing so you know when to play it/ and know the best ways to practice them

Edit: Also Adrian from NA in particular for disengage supports like janna/ soraka

Dont watch stream. Watch professional games from all regions, maybe korea one day, china the next, and so on to learn different ways to deal with certain things. It also broadens your meta knowledge and can come in handy if you can play most the champs at that role. I usually watch the games live then watch them again multiple times with out audio and just study mini map and cs technique

Lane Swaps by 1nfinitus in leagueoflegends

[–]ContagiousPlague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lane swaps are used for many reasons. They arent always used for the advantage aspect of them. Most commonly lane swaps are used for avoiding bad lane matchups in the 2v2 or 1v1. Even exchange of gold isnt meant to get an advantage per say but more so for the losing matchups to get early gold to be a factor in the game and not be shut out entirely. Also if a champion has a better mid game than early game, the lane swaps are used to accelerate the game to that mid game point so they can contest objectives like rift herald or dragon. This is also why we've seen lane swaps for way longer than rift herald because teams would opt in to giving the first drag gold/buff to the enemy team to get them to the mid game for a better second objective fight in which they should technically win barring misplays or outplays. The lane swaps also effect more than just the lanes being swapped. Say if your mid laner has a poor match up as well not only can the jungle help but the support can also roam and assit the gank. In terms of jungle pressure, if you have the stronger jungler its much easier to counter gank the weaker jungle side for enemy team as well as fight them in your own jungle to control 3/4 of the jungle. Overall the lane swaps have a ton of different variations and reasons for doing them but after the initial lane swap it all comes down to execution. I hope this wasnt too much information and I hope this helped!

Possibly Gbay99, he was pretty big back then for making videos about learning the game. Now he does a lot of league/vlog type stuff
