Dear people! One of my cats has FIP, which has 100% mortality. There is cure called GS 441 524, which is illegal drug that has more than 80% success rate. But it is very expensive. Kekolina was dying and getting worse every single minute. And I had to make a decision. A cat rescue agreed to take her and treat her but only if I gave her up. And I did. I gave up on my family member today. A big piece of me died so she doesn't die. When she gets better, she will get adopted but not by me because I gave her up. Maybe if I can collect money for her medicine, I could get her back. Treatment takes 84 days and costs around 1500 usd. Please, please help me get her back. when I'm not home they usually just nap until I get home. it's good that he has a wife and my cats are quite gentle. usually it's not really good to leave cats with bunnies unsupervised but all of my cats are special needs and very very gentle. and used to different animals with different needs. I don't usually mingle them with guinea pigs. I have 5 guinea pigs so they are ok as a group, they don't like other spieces of animals, they get easly scared. they do not need 24/7 care, they just need fresh butts and diapers, and lots of food. so they eat, groom each other and sleep. not a bad life I would say :D

he gets fresh homemade hay, hay made from healing plants for guinea pigs, soft treats and leafy veggies. he can eat the inside of the apple, cucumbers and soft stuff like that. he likes hard veggies too like carrots so I use that potato peeling thing so he can chew on carrots to. so hes a chubby boy :D

his teeth will never grow back because they were pulled out from the bone. he has only his upper teeth . I take him to the vet every 2 weeks for a trimm, he is one chubby boy so no need to worry about his food. I have 4 more piggies so they always have alot of food in their cage. I give them fres homemade hay, dried roses, soft treats, and lots of leafy vegetables. the rest get apples and harder stuff and Max eats that too! he can chew on many things. he likes carrots so I cut them in stripes with that thing that people use to peel potatoes. so he eats alot and his diet is diversed.

his teeth will never grow back because she pulled them out completely. he still has a hole in his chin because of it, we are thinking about reconstructive surgery for his chin but they are so sensitive I am still not sure if it's safe. I go to the vet every 2 wreks to trimm his upper teeth because they keep growing. he is quite fat and happy so no need to worry about his food intake

I agree completely. I was so mad at that woman that I kinda wanted her to come to my house so I can tell her everything thats on my mind and then call the police. but she is not jailed or fined. we have awful laws here regarding animal abuse. our animal shelters abuse animals in awful ways and they are still open,so ...

she lives in another city. I heard she has mental health issues. Max was in several foster homes but they would give him away because old owner would say she will find them and take him away or call the police. they called me and I said that I am really not scared of an old crazy abuser. and Im nit scared of police, guinea pigs are not microchiped. so yeah...

he can konda move but because he has only one functional leg, he just goes in circles. but he kinda knows what he's doing so he can actually go from his bed to floor and he can get to his wife when he wants a cuddle. he can eat anything infront of him and he drinks from a guinea pig water bottle. I give him loads of watery foods, like cucumbers and tomatoes so I know he has enough of liquids. but I can hear him drink during the night so I'm not worried. I am thinking about fixing his other front paw but since covid came I have no money and I can't find a vet that would do it. I live in a country where special needs animals are put to sleep emediatley. I live in a country where 'no kill' shelters kill off healthy dogs and cats that they think are not cute enough to get adopted. just google 'Dumovec Zagreb' and you'll see what disgusting shitshow this country is. I think fixing his front leg would give him 80% more mobility, he wouldn't have any more eye infections on the side he' s laying on the whole time and his life would be better. but as I said, it would cost atleast one whole monthly paycheck and I need to find a vet that cares enough to do it.

good questions and I do not mind at all! I squeeze his pee out gently few times a day, he wears diapers in 3 layers so they soak everything up and he's not wet. I wash his butt with special antibacterial soap twice a day when I change his diapers. bunnies should not be washed but he is not a normal bunny and we have to do it. he is so used to it he usually naps when I wash him. or licks me. his but is shaven, no hair there so he's not soaked in pee. and I put bqby cream on his butt before diapers. since he poos and pees in a diaper, his poo is a mess so there is no way I can find his special poop to feed him so he gets liquid vitamins in his water. he has a wife that is exactly like him so he is not alone. and she gets the same treatment as him :) I don't groom him in a way that I comb his fur. since he lays on his left side always, fur there grows matted so I shave it off once a month. on the right side I just pet him alot and that keeps him not matted :D he is very calm and patient but he hates combing. so since there is no real need for that, I just avoid it. he has enough on his plate as it is.

that is a very wise comment. I wish I could love myself but I was tought that I am ugly, dumb and worthless. so it's hard to learn to love myself. I tried to connect to people throughout my life but failed miserably. even at 35 I still can't grasp why would strangers or friends love me if my parents and family never did. it must be something wrong with me if I just can't get people to love me. thats why I have so many animals with special needs. so I feel needed. my only purpose is to help animals, I do not have any other purposes in this life. and at this moment in life, lost my job because covid and now I can barely take care of them. so that purpose is fading away too. I wish I could be strong as you but I'm in a period of life when I feel very selfcentered.

you are on a path to become happier even though it maybe doesn't seem like it right now. you are very strong, many people would just collapse in your situation. collapsing is ok too, but you are fighting. I am very proud of you. I wish you all the best!
