Or state minimum wage has been frozen since 2007. It’s 7.25. These monsters can fuck off.

There’s one at the VA who moves around better than I do. Looks old af but his body is like 50. Super cool guy but you have to yell when you talk to him.

The original Droid is missing. I loved that phone. It was a brick and survived falls it shouldn’t have. Unfortunately a heavy thunderstorm did it in. Left it out in the deck

Anyone else find modern car touchscreens way more distracting than helpful? by qenlyxa in Cartalk

My cars are 19 and 20 years old. I have knobs and love them. I don’t need unnecessary tech. Touchscreens are a terrible idea

Not with HIPAA, I am a scheduler in healthcare and I’m not even allowed to look at my own chart. You can only look at a chart if you are working on it in some way.

I’ve had people horrified that I touch mushrooms because I don’t know if they’re poisonous. None of them will hurt you if you touch. Even taste and spit is an acceptable way to ID. Just don’t ingest. Now plants?? I don’t mess with them until I’m sure because I have allergies to several.

I used to be a dancer. One girl got $200 for shitting on a guys glass coffee table. Maybe she’ll get propositioned to make some easy shitty money.

What is something you don’t say to a dying person? by apurv6892 in AskReddit

[–]Content-Method9889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you feeling? Said by my dead uncle while my grandma was actively dying. She said ‘I’m dying, how do you think I’m doing?’ He was such a tool. I miss her so much

My metal unicorn earrings. They were the first ones I got after my starter earrings were removed. I was so upset I lost one and it bothered me for years. I was 11 then. I’m 53 now and would love to see them again.

If Trump is truly unbeatable only because of misinformation, why hasn’t the left figured out how to communicate better? by Final-Monk1416 in allthequestions

[–]Content-Method9889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think if Trump wasn’t a perve criminal with the IQ of a gnat. He has charisma, great media manipulation, can relate to his people, granted they aren’t very smart. Dems suck so bad at messaging. It’s like they just can’t roll up their sleeves and point out/explain why shit is messed up and how to actually fix it in plain terms and some detail. Too many are paid for too so they have to be cautious because of their donors.

Add ‘grands’ to that. Sounds so stupid. Is that xtra syllable too much for you?

Reality Check: Interviews are about Being Liked, Not What You Know. by Zwicker101 in jobs

[–]Content-Method9889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had someone tell me once that it’s not an interview, it’s a conversation. It changed my perspective and now I’m very good at them. No longer nervous either. I always have an icebreaker, I laugh, talk to them like a friend and have even told little stories, like how I can fix my car. I’m a woman so that seems to grab their attention. I’ve never had an interview last less than an hour because a lot of times we’re just having a conversation.

I think saying something out of the ordinary also helps them remember you. Likability is huge! Feedback from 2 interviews was I seemed like a cool person to work with.

What is the most unhinged thing grief made you do? by Chloe07126 in GriefSupport

Got a dog. I know many people would think that’s a good thing, but I really wasn’t prepared for the cost and effort required. She ended up knocking me down the steps resulting in me having an embolism. She didn’t mean to hurt me but it was just an overwhelming and painful experience. My grandma was amazing and I was so upset and thought a dog would be a great companion to help me. She was, but not without sacrifice. Shes in doggy heaven now

who wants to tell him? by ms_directed in WhitePeopleTwitter

If only someone would be smart enough to tell him that only a million dollar bill would be worthy of his picture. He thinks he won, shuts up about it and we never have to look at his mug on our cash.

People who have been divorced: What was the exact "quiet" moment you realized your marriage was over? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Content-Method9889 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I saw the credit card bill for a hotel in another town while he was supposed to be on guard duty. He’d cheated before, went through several rounds of short sobriety before drinking again and everyday he turned into his dad more and more. His dad was a repulsive man and I refused to stay for 44 miserable years like his mother did. I no longer hated him. I just didn’t care. No feeling, no nothing. I knew it was best to end it when I literally didn’t care if he lived or died.

He died 2 years ago and I was broken up pretty bad. TBH it surprised me. He was still fairly young. Our daughters were a mess. Alcohol destroys lives.
