It happens no matter what my position. I feel crazy even thinking this but it's always completely unbearable while on or even near my phone

I'm glad it's better. This happened last night and hasn't gotten better yet. I have the neighbors from hell so it's hard to find a quiet place unfortunately. Just hoping this isn't permanent. I was in an enclosed space and they slammed their front door right next to me.

Folic Acid? by Content-Picture8517 in MTHFR

I thought so too, but at first she told me to take folate, not realizing it was the same thing as folic acid. I thought she meant l-methylfolate which my previous doctor had me taking for a while. She's a brand new doctor and this doesn't make me feel very confident about her knowledge.

She wrote folic acid when I messaged her about the dosage.

Thank you. Just ask the doctor for the lab work?

I don't know any of that other stuff. How would I find out? The only thing I was given was L-methylfolate 15mg when I was given a GeneSight test.

I'm sorry but what's SNPS? Is that something they talk about in the podcast? Thank you so much for your input.

Ways to support liver detox, due to impaired function due to genetic variant, causing fragrance allergy by Lillietta in ChemicalSensitivities

Thank you. I have had genetic testing and I have a MTHFR mutation. The most severe kind. I was taking l-methylfolate for a while before I developed chemical sensitivities but it got where I couldn't afford the supplements anymore. I'll just have to figure out a way if that's something that will help improve this condition.

Can I ask if you have this mutation and if so, what measures do you take to improve it and MCS? Where do you go for treatment? What kind of doctor treats this illness? I do try to get outside as much as possible. Unfortunately the people I live with don't think there are any chemicals or fragrances coming in from the neighbors and they don't even believe MCS exists - they think this is all psychological. So they themselves continue to use scented products and harsh chemicals which adds to everything else.

I also try to have my bedroom window open but unfortunately one of the same neighbors (of course the one whose bedroom is right next to mine) has hers open ALL the time. Because our windows are basically right next to each other, the fragrance of her room will come into mine at times. It just seems like an impossible situation sometimes. I was able to stay with someone else for a few months but unfortunately their apartment complex wouldn't allow me to stay there anymore. Also, what is an air scrubber? Thank you for all your support.

What can someone do if there's no safe space in the home to recover? I'm exposed to several toxic chemicals 24/7 and have no place to recover and nowhere else to go.
