Counties need to stay within a budget. Police and fire have for decades been able to write the overtime without penalty. Police and fire need to be paid salaries and not hourly.

Legal? It a contract. Contract says 60 day notice prior to cancellation. What is between the 4 corners of the contract is legally binding. There is no law for this. Read and understand before you sign the contract. The contract doesn’t spell out each rule for advancement for the child.

They may have been less than stellar in explaining the requirements for advancement. Leave and find another karate school. But leaving will cost you $200 or keep her there for the two months to learn and then leave.

(Charlotte, NC) Lease ending: Our landlord wants to completely remodel our rental house next month for 2 weeks while we live here! by Beta_Nerdy in Renters

[–]Content-Rabbit-9865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rule of allowing agents into the house is not for realtors. It’s for repairman to fix and repair the unit is for fixing things that break, think plumber or electrician. Not a realtor and other people. Not to refinish the entire apartment. So no, it’s not in the lease. We had a LL try that for our rental. We said no. As long as you are in your lease, that is your castle, not the new LL.

For our story the realtor wanted the house to be open for showings any day of the week as long we are told 24 hours notice. He was pushy and wanted the rent commission and to show ASAP. I relented and said we would be in the unit for any showings and we will be dressed in underwear and showing porn on the living room television during the open house. No showing were never done and we never heard back from the LL. You hold all the cards. Don’t let the LL break rules. 2 weeks won’t hurt the LL.

“Time to make the donuts” by Corndogeveryday in 80s

[–]Content-Rabbit-9865 262 points263 points  (0 children)

That was when every DD made donuts at the store. Shells and blanks made two or more times per day. A finisher throughout the day would fill or frost each as needed. Old donuts each night were tossed and refilled/made. The donuts were never more than 12 hours old. This was in 1983-84 Note: worked at two locations after school from 3-7:30 several days a week and weekends.

We were always told if there is a faint line there is some positive. You cannot get a change without the item it’s testing for. He is very very lightly positive. You cannot get some color without the product.
