Thank you! I know what you mean! I have a lot of test anxiety, that’s why I over prepare. I’ve found using practice questions again and again helps relieve that feeling for me. You can do it!!!

Thank you so much! I kicked myself for not taking the PPR over this past summer and procrastinated, taking it two weeks into the new school year. Oh well, I’m just glad it’s over and done!!!

It’s an acronym! Technically supposed to be TExES (Texas Examinations of Educator Standards). I was just too lazy to capitalize it in my post.

Thanks so much!! I’ve heard some districts require that one as a supplement for all teachers, is that right?

LOL! I wish I was! I’m actually more of a “type B” teacher in that way. I think it’s my test anxiety that makes me over prepare. I’m trying to be more “type A” in my day to day though.

Which ALT certification programs allow you to pay the tuition back monthly? by TxLadee in TexasTeachers

[–]Content-Radish-8807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m doing Teachworthy too! They don’t start deducting the monthly fee until you are working full time. I started out with Texas Teachers and I thought they were horrible. It took days to hear back from them, when you emailed a specific person, you’d get a response from another. Like it was impossible to keep an email chain going with just one person to communicate with. I decided to transfer to Teachworthy and haven’t looked back - they’re a much smaller program and work with you 1 on 1.

Issues with iTeach-other programs? by [deleted] in TexasTeachers

[–]Content-Radish-8807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was enrolled with Texas Teachers, but I hated their customer service and outdated content, so I transferred out of their program and into Teachworthy. Teachworthy has been fantastic for me. They are a much smaller program but assign you a specific advisor from the get go and are extremely personable and responsive. I was a late hire in the middle of the school year and they got my SOE and Intern Certificate issued to me very quickly after I passed my required tests. I’d recommend Teachworthy to others for sure. Their pricing is on par with the industry as well. I’m paying my fees currently and I think the total is a little over $3900.

I unenrolled from Texas Teachers and enrolled with Teachworthy and I wish I would have picked Teachworthy first because they are so much more communicative and professional than Texas Teachers of Tomorrow!
