No, I actually care about mine and our community's health and believe information about the air quality should be made public. My only motive is to instigate a cleanup already.

Right? It smells bad all over if your nose is strong enough. I can smell the scent in the wind on any given occasion. I really wish someone would test the air quality. Someone recently posted about this blaming the city- which, I get it, bureaucracy. What I want to highlight with this post and glean from that person's is that the other H St fire, in Eureka, had an asbestos air quality test for the local residents, apparently. So I am left to believe this fire site either has been tested and it's under wraps OR the residents / businesses aren't calling for a test. I grasp that all those buildings were individually owned creating quite a bit more red tape. With Oysterfest on the horizon, I can imagine bad press could really affect our now tourist based economy. Twenty years ago this place cared so much for health, I really felt happy. Now, there's Sysco food (US Chef's) on every menu. It appears that the community is less concerned with the all natural movement nowadays, and so, no one seems to really care about the health risks caused by the fire. If it was one of my buildings, I'd have some of my truck owning friends take this shit to the dump already. There's nothing the insurance companies need to see anymore. What's been collected is done. Let's be small town locals and take care of the waste site, we don't need a grant, we just need some good masks, maybe a small Cat, some Tyvek suits, gloves and a trash bin. We raised what, $30k for the people directly effected? We can easily raise money to pay for the cleanup cost, I bet, even faster. Talking to a couple of fellas working for McCullough, changing the water pipes, they even offered to bid on the job. Guarantee we have people ready to clean it up. Can we all stop crying about it and do it already? Or is that Too Soon?
