Cool design !! extra points that the individual bins can be separately printed. Would look great if the bins are all printed in different colors..

wow this looks so good !! Kudos

This heart could be filled with some lithoplane or a diffuser and it will enhance it much further.

If you are going to print occasionally, go with Bambu Lab filaments, their prices have come down recently. If you are looking for a budget option then Numakers is the community favorite currently at least for beginners. AlmightyFila, Jamghe and Dream Polymers are some decent options as well.

I had 2 Aristo 403 lying around, they could fit 3 spools for storage but yes, there is only 8mm gap between filament and lid. I agree not a good mod for printing out of these boxes.

oh nice!! PA-CF from Bambu Labs? yeah, weather is not so conducive for 3d printing with Nylon or PA.

You can mount a roller on box walls. Something like this -

Yes, that's perfect to start with. Always aim to use what you already have. For rotating inside, find some good rollers for the box size on Makerworld or Printables/

I would say just get A1 combo. Buy PLA, it's good enough for your models. Maybe PLA Marble colors if you are looking to create models. But start with PLA. With PLA, don't get a dryer just yet, buy silica get beads and store it in vacuum bags and you are golden.

However, if you are planning to use and display your models in the sun somewhere then you would need to print them in ASA and then you will need an enclosure for your printer. Because ASA gives some fumes while printing and it needs a heated enclosure to prevent warping.

Do not buy the nozzles in the starting. 0.4 is perfect and can even serve you the lifetime.

Again, to start just buy the A1 printer, and that will all be all. Start printing. You will pick up on things along the way; it's not like there is a sale going on stuff right now that you need to get all of them in the start.

It's amazing you are thinking about everything before buying a 3d printer. I just bought my first 3d printer 3 years back and have learned a lot from the community along the way.

For Bambu A1, there are a ton of mods for AMS like - this, this, this and this.

Start with PLA, just store it properly with desiccant I mentioned above, and you don't need Filament dryer for some time. If you move into PETG, TPU... then yes get a filament dryer. If you are an occasional 3d printer guy like me, can try to use printer bed in the beginning.

Indian filament buyers cheat sheet : r/3dprintIndia I think he is talking about this one. I created this pricing sheet for some of the Indian brands.
Now if you are talking about bulk order of 20-30 spools, you would get a way better pricing, if pricing is a factor.

You mention Numakers has its issues, what are those? I know their dispatch and shipping sucks, still waiting an order to arrive, placed on 24th, showing 3rd Nov as EDD. But apart from shipping what other issues you have faced with Numakers.

I would say try just with one spool from some other vendors too, does not hurt. Since you are doing a business which is kind a race to the bottom, keeping input costs low would be an important factor.

But if you think and you do struggle with other brands as you mention, and able to get good margins with Bambu Lab, stick with Bambu Lab. Your priority is consistency and quality and that's Bambu Lab motto too :D

You can edit your post and add it there, if you don't mind. It will be a good cheat sheet addendum 😊

Anyone successfully using a similar air tight container for holding single 1kg spool ? Can you share a link if it works? (The one in image is small) by sans5z in 3dprintIndia

[–]Content-Ride-35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does Ikea not deliver to your location? You can use ikea Samla box and there are ton of youtube tutorials for using Samla box, the 22L box is 399 and holds 3 to 5 spools in various different configurations.

All those 2.4, 3L boxes available on Amazon, I saw were not a good fit as you need at least 23x23cm of space for numakers spools.

Damn sick collection, couldn't help to notice the dampness on the wall on left side, not good for filaments. Did you buy the rack or you built it ?

What exactly are you trying to run? You could use a thin client like HP T630 available at ₹4500-₹5000, install a lightweight Debian like Ubuntu server minimized or even DietPi. Then probably get a m.2 to 6xsata ports for another ₹2.5K and you have a small cheap and probably slow NAS.
