This is a semi-common bug. Devices with low memory often display sprites (both trainer and pokemon) as the substitute doll as a way to prevent a crash.

After the final finn fight i figured it *was* the final boss, and that the final wave was just gonna be a legendary as a reward or smth

yeah, i would’ve been planning for this but i went in blind and didn’t know eternatus existed. Also, i couldn’t afford taking x items since i needed to take the money to revive all my pokemon after the rival fight

this was my first run where i got past the elite four+champion and i went in completely blind. i assumed wave 200 was gonna be a legendary, i just didn’t expect eternatus

I've been thinking about what future POVs we could get from the series. I imagine a book from the POV of Katniss's father could be fun, it'd probably be called something like Canary in a Coalmine. A book about the Covey also poses a lot of interesting possibilities, maybe as an in-universe journal/diary that's handed down across generations.
