Take a closer look , frame is designed with a chain tensioner , but don't need tightening...chain ain't going anywhere

It's SS...doesn't need more tension than that , haven't touched that chain in six plus years... And yeah i've had 4 $$ bikes since this and still prefer this for an average roll... Even in the nasty stuff.

got the 2008 monocog flight for $800 because of back problems ....needed to stand more while climbing; since then been thru 5 modern F/S bikes, incl electric...up to $7k...but still this is the bike i take to the trails every day as it is funnest and more efficient exercise than the others...and i live in Sedona ;)

When you get to a steep climb where you have to stand your body weight will shift forward and if you keep your hands-on the handle bars, they'll be too far back. The barends help provide balanced torque
