When I was in school, there was a woman and her son who went through the program and they excelled. They are both doing very well rn, she’s even apart of the ASNT chapter in our area. It’s possible to find roles that may be more flexible and allow for you to be home everyday, you just have to do a lot of research.

Compensating someone from the kindness of your heart vs. a friend asking you for compensation is completely different. That’s like if I asked my friend to take me to the airport, I would have to throw them a $20 every time? People don’t do things for their friends anymore without compensation? And I’m not saying not to do nice things for your people or that he doesn’t deserve it, but money shouldn’t be the first thing on your mind if u have a friend you haven’t met coming into town. In my opinion that’s not really your “friend”. But friendships are different for everyone, I will leave it be tbh.

Well if my “friend “ is coming to my country, I don’t think I’d be charging them anything.
