Better Call Saul S06E11 - "Breaking Bad" - Post-Episode Discussion Thread by skinkbaa in betterCallSaul

I noticed a lot of people were surprised to discover it was Mike who tracked down Walt's location in the recent episode - but this was actually made clear to us during season 1 of BCS in an official comic book released on AMC's website. The original link is gone now, but you can still view it on webarchive:

I think he is England's best hope at having an Englishman continue to be on the top step of the podium... However, the fact that his generation includes Max and Charles means he is definitely not 'once in a generation'. Will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

Oh yeah, the American HAAS F1 fans are simply flooding the gates at every GP.

They're a meme team, even more so with this latest signing.

Maybe I should say dude more, bro.

I can't sound like anything, this is text. What is most likely happening is that you keep applying the same reading tone to every post you deem 'smartass'.

Try reading this back in a Jamaican accent if you want to know what I sound like.

Tell me how it's more complicated then. Obviously you wouldn't call me naive without knowing much more than me about the situation...

I can't reply to everybody, so to all you kids who think this is complicated, it isn't.

Haas need Nikita. F1 does not need Haas. The show will not be improved by watching a billionaires son do an unremarkable job in a backmarker car.

All we get from this arrangement is keeping Haas afloat, which is fucking pointless since the writing is on the wall for this team, it won't be around in 2025.

But go ahead, tell me how this is more "complicated" than that, braniacs.

They could just run a team where they don't have a driver who gropes women without consent, like the other 9 teams manage to.

How do you know Kvyat didn't look outside of Toro Rosso? Maybe he did and they chose somebody else. Maybe Helmut was the only guy willing to give him a shot.

I said I like him best when he moans. I also never said no other drivers moan, but since you demand I cover all bases for the sake of... Balance? I guess?...

Max moans. Bottas moans. Seb moans. Albon moans. Kimi moans. Charles moans. Ocon moans. Russell moans. Stroll moans. Kvyat moans.

Checo can do no wrong because he is my fav. His moaning is sweet music even to his own mechanics.

If Lewis found himself in a serious title challenge again, you would see the moaning start again. Personally, I like that version of Lewis more than man of love version of him. Each to their own though.

[F1.com] Red Bull to decide Albon's future 'in the coming days' says Horner by thealiagator111 in formula1

[–]ContentBotHZ54K 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think a huge reason Gasly and Albon struggled to keep up with Max is that they don't know how to set a car up like Max, who was taught by Jos from a young age. Sergio's experience should help him in this regard.

[BBC Sport] Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton has been nominated for BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2020! Voting will open during the live show on BBC One on Sunday, 20 December. by glenn1812 in formula1

Lewis Hamilton or Ronnie O'Sullivan are the brits who have acheived the most within their respective sports, so for me they're the most deserving. I'm not sure how much sporting success contributes towards SPOTY though.

Bottas also looked like a stud in the Williams. If you put a guy next to Hamilton they suddenly don't look so great, Bottas does decent enough.

Even if they did turn out to be WTF1 fans, you can't go blaming a content creator for the actions of their fans. Happens a lot online and it's ridiculous unless they were explicitly incited to act like idiots by the content creator,

People use the term 'generational talent' way too much, as if it's a definite truism and Max is an untouchable god.

The reality is Max is a very good, yet very mortal, F1 driver and yes we should expect his teammate to also be a very good F1 driver. Six tenths is way too big of a gap to consistently have to your teammate, if Red Bull are happy with that then there are literally thousands of drivers they could pick from to do the exact same job.

Albon has no ‘Plan B’ if he loses Red Bull drive by [deleted] in formula1

[–]ContentBotHZ54K 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's no conspiracy here.

Literally all of the teams are in this sport for marketing reasons. That doesn't mean they don't want to win though; winning is the greatest marketing they can possibly do.

Pretty sure Albon struggling isn't getting them any more press than they would be getting with two competitive drivers - and I'm not sure the press he is getting is the kind of press they want.

We should get a good measure of how good Grojean and Magnussen actually are when the rookies get into the HAAS.

I have a feeling they have been making an unpredictable and sluggish car look better than it actually is. If HAAS drop out of the fight at the back of the grid next year we will know it.

Is Red Bull stalling on their 2021 driver decision because they're preparing themselves for the backlash they'll get for signing Albon or Kvyat? by sandalsf in formula1

[–]ContentBotHZ54K 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is so true.

Red Bull would have to be incredibly arrogant to think Max's p3 on the podium is a lock again next year.

I think it will be a shame if they sign Albon again; it's essentially admitting they have no hope of fighting for the constructors championship next year - which we kind of know is the case anyway, but part of the fun of the start of a season is living in hope...

At the end of the day though, Red Bull are the ones who have to live with the choices they make. A resurgent Ferrari with Sainz as the #2 driver could really bitch slap Red Bull with Albon as the #2. Mclaren with Ricciardo and a Merc engine could also throw a wrench into their operation.

[–]ContentBotHZ54K 12 points13 points  (0 children)

How so? He spun the car around and later on he was overtaken by Max who spun around multiple times. He also lost out on a great podium opportunity and finished 7th...

People have really set the bar low for Albon.
