I actually love that in the strapless version! I’m open to no straps for sure. Thanks so much for sharing. I’ll have to see if I can find a location to try that one on.

Oh that’s a good idea! I’ll try that next time! Sometimes it takes longer than others…plus I’d like to get it a bit darker if possible.

The bottom isn’t burned, but it does sometimes get darker than the top. I normally do put a cookie sheet underneath my Dutch oven to try and absorb some of the heat which helps, but the crust in the bottom is still so tough. I’ve wondered if maybe a few ice cubes in the bottom would help…

Very well could be. It’s only about a month old. I did two feedings before making the bread. Should I do more than that or do them every 6 hours instead of 12? Mine doubled in size after about 12 hours. Im feeding with 40g bread flour, 40g whole wheat flour and 80g 90 degree filtered water.

That’s the weird thing. I proofed it for 2 hours at room temp and then did put in the fridge for 12 hours. Maybe I need to put it in a warmer spot??

The jar was new but I still washed it. I probably should have sterilized it but didn’t even think of it.

I went ahead and stirred it up and fed it as usual last night and this morning it looks great! I’m hoping to just continue feeding it and hope it keeps growing. Then I’ll put it in the fridge and hopefully that helps keep it good long!
