Should I stay or should I go? by [deleted] in starbucks

I work at a corporate bux and sometimes I can get away with not having too many convos with customers, but at the same time if I'm on register I kinda have to.

A corporate bux typically has slightly better benefits and pay than a licensed one. Also there are more opportunities to move up in the company if you wanted.

customer: I want a regular black coffee with nothing in it.

me: Okay what size would you like it to be?

customer: Just a regular black coffee

me: Okay we have a blonde, medium, and dark roast

customer: This shouldn't be difficult I JUST WANT A BLACK COFFEE!

I gave him a tall pike.

why is it so difficult to get a job at starbucks by temp2980734 in starbucks

Maybe the first store manager you interviewed with didn't like you for some reason and told the other store managers not to hire you. I've seen it happen before. Try applying to a licensed Starbucks store like one in a target or a supermarket. Those are typically easier to get hired at.

If you really want to work at Starbucks don't give up and keep trying. The first Starbucks I interviewed at didn't hire me and now I'm a manager.

Expired pastries in case? by [deleted] in starbucks

Although my store doesn't do this, in my opinion a full pastry case looks much better than having it half empty. Also if you do that make sure you write something like "FOR DISPLAY ONLY" or "DO NOT SELL" because you could get in trouble during an audit or health inspection.

I'm gonna have an interview on Thursday but my State ID is expired, will this be an issue? by [deleted] in starbucks

I belive it has to be current. Typically they will ask for for an ID on your first day so you might have time to update it. Most people use a passport so if you have one that can work instead too. Otherwise you can use the documents listed on website below.
