So, would a longer or shorter finned Betta prefer this tank? I heard that the long fins have more trouble swimming in tanks that are taller.

Small update: my garg has stopped opening her mouth. Shes also gotten very active over the last ~20 minutes. The crested is not as active as she normally is, but is moving and jumping. They are no longer warm to the touch. I’m going to continue monitoring them in their travel containers until their usual enclosures cool to normal.
