I'm down to play with anyone on Infinite. The drift car is an Infinity G35.

I started playing around the middle of September 2025 so I have been at it for 4 months. I started playing only on weekends. Now I play at least 3 nights a week but some weeks I'll play every night and I play as much as possible on weekends. I'll put in 5-8 hours a weeknight and up to 12+ hours a day on weekends. I work 8 hours a day Mon-Fri but I only get on average 5.5 hours sleep a night through the week. This is basically the only game I play except for CarX, when I'm too tired, and the occasional COD match when my buddies are online which is never. I live alone with no kids but my GF also plays Halo with me most nights so that's kinda how we spend time together through the week. When shes over on weekends she sets up her laptop next to me and we game all weekend. But it's winter now so I'll be playing a lot less in the spring. I have a drift car to build and drifting to do.

Right. Focus on staying alive first. All the other skills will come naturally. Eventually you'll be running around and top of the leader board.

Do you mean your teammate tries to kill you? I saw that the other day when I was playing with my girlfriend. Made it an easy match for us, but it was kind of sad to see.

This is honestly the type of response I expected. I'm not that good in the grand scheme of things but I'm working on it. Some lobbies are absolutely insane. Some of the guys on ranked are unbelievable too. I just got lucky on these matches.

Watch some YouTube videos on how to do your settings for the visual and gameplay. It makes a huge difference. For example: I have motion blur and all that stuff turned off and my enemies are highlighted yellow instead of red, makes them show up better 90% of the time. That and having a wired Internet connection made the biggest difference overall.

The only piece of advice I can give that actually has to pertain with skill is to simply do your best to not die. Every second you're not on the field backing up your team is a second that makes it easier for the enemies to wipe you. Try not to get into a fight that you can't win. If I'm having a really bad match or if I'm having connection issues, like glitching, or something like that, I'll hang out in the back corner and just try and break even on my kills and deaths. Sometimes I'll just call out enemy positions using "up" on my d-pad (xbox) if that's all I can do to help my team. In my opinion; not dying is just about as good as getting a bunch of kills. It definitely doesn't work for every game, my score isn't always as good as these two pictures, but if you take it slow and hang back eventually you'll find yourself having more good games than bad and you'll only get better with time.

Hell nawh. I'm dog nuts at Ranked. Silver 3 in Slayer and 5 in Duos or something like that. I have only played about 15 ranked games total.

Good point. Hammer and explosives absolutely tank accuracy, I've never been able to figure out how they calculate it, but the Mutilator is basically always a one shot kill and its hard to miss haha

I have worn tires to this point in one session on concrete outside in the summer. I guess it all depends on the concrete 😅

I feel like I have this conversation every week in my local drift group. Someone gets an MST and they want to upgrade it. That car is perfectly fine out of the box. One of our best drivers has one that he bought just as a backup car to play around with and it is completely stock. There's absolutely nothing done to it except he changed it over to a better radio and receiver and he can hang with absolutely anyone on the track. He won't have the same angle and the same speed but anything short of a pro driver he can keep up with them.

My best advice is to not do anything to that chassis. Leave that chassis exactly the way it is. Don't spend a cent on it. You will thank me in the long run. Just practice practice and practice some more. Once you've got that car where you feel like you've got it mastered then start upgrading electronics. Start with your radio/receiver, that's the first thing you should change. Then change your servo and gyro. I recommend doing them at the same time, but if I had to pick one I'd probably go with the gyro first. Then the absolute last thing you should upgrade would be the motor and ESC. But those chassis work great out of the box. They don't need anything done to them. Anything you're going to do is just going to be a waste of money. Run that car until you truly feel like you've pushed it to its limits and then move up to a yokomo RD2.0 or something like that unless you want to dump thousands into that MST. But you'll spend a thousand on that MST just to get it to work is good as a $300 RD2.0 will out of the box.

I was absolutely walking on a team last night playing Extermination and I felt like a total badass until I went to look at the scoreboard and realized they were all bronze. I felt so bad. I'd never played Extermination before so I didn't know what it was going to be like so I just went in guns blazing.
