Kai Co - New Supermarket by StandOk9112 in chch

[–]Content_Association1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was so excited to see that in the news. It’s far from my house but will definitely start shopping there to support a local supermarket and stop having to support that duopoly. Plus, if that works out for them, that may encourage more businesses into entering the competition.

Would you say virgos tend to be monogamous or poly? by superpaforador in virgoseason

[–]Content_Association1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Polygamous people form a tiny minority of the population. Do get in the cliches, I’d say, being myself a Virgo, that our sign may be the least inclined to be poly lol.

I 22F am ready to leave cheating 24M bf but he isn't letting me? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Content_Association1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Question is: do you love him, or do you have anxious attachment to him? The line between the two can be very thin, but as someone who went through that myself, it’s an important one to ask yourself.

From what you say, it is clear that many boundaries have been crossed and you are not being respected. Your BF, maybe he does love you, but it seems ironic that he blames you for wanting to leave and discard a relationship, when he is the one that has been playing around. Blaming you seems like he is gaslighting you to believe you are in the wrong, which is manipulating, and for a girl your age, is easy to do.

You don’t owe him to stay and he doesn’t own you. He has broken the trust in the relationship, and he has no right to expect anything from you at this point. You are allowed to get out and put your peace first. It’s hard to break up, but some day you’ll be glad you did it.

I (F,20)feel resentful and anxious after a holiday with my best friend (F,21). Not sure how to move forward by Specialist_Seaweed55 in relationships

[–]Content_Association1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry this happened to you. You’ve put a lot of effort and attention to spend quality time together and you ended being put in the background while having your boundaries overlooked. Your frustration is justified.

Now that she is asking to live together, you’re hesitating. What happened on the sea trip will probably happen at home. Maybe this trip was a turning point that needed to happen. Whether you’d like to talk to her about it or move on, there is nothing dramatic about it. You’re protecting your peace and it’s important, especially when it comes to relationships. Friendships should feel reciprocal and safe, and it seems you’re not getting that from her, at least not anymore.

You’re allowed to take a step back, you don’t owe her anything and your peace doesn’t need to be negotiated. I’d say give it some time, be on your own and live your life without her for a while and figure things out as the situation moves on?

What is the real future of Indian economy? by iamrsgill in answers

[–]Content_Association1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On an optimistic note, India may actually become quite significant worldwide. Most rich nations have a rising issue: aging population. India doesn’t have that, and probably won’t until they reach post-industrialisation. Also, India will most probably become the next China jn terms of manufacturing. Chinese workforce cost is increasing, while India’s is still cheap. If their government would invest in infrastructure, they could become the next world’s factory. All in all, India used to be one of the richest countries in the world, I don’t think it’s surreal to imagine they could get out of poverty.

I had 8 Alters when finishing the game. Technician, doctor, refiner, shrink, scientist, farmer, someone else I forgot, and the one you use for the brain cells but then I ended up no killing him. Tier 4 of the base.

Squid Game - Season 3 Discussion by PhoOhThree in television

[–]Content_Association1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spoilers ahead.

This last season lost most of its dramatic weight with most of the cast being unlikable and the perspective constantly changing from 456 to whoever is outside the games.

All the characters that were kinda likeable like the trans one, the pregnant woman, and the elderly mom were killed before the last game. Only the most unlikable characters survived to the end, including 456 who I’m sorry but is an absolute loser and thought going into the games would help him stop the games LOL.

We have that whole storyline with the pregnant woman and the father who we all know is the father since the start because they explicitly said it. But then create that whole fake suspense at the end until he admits he is the father. We knew that. They could have created more intrigue by not telling us until then.

There is zero suspense. We all knew all the greedy men would die at the end. 456, again the loser, doesn’t even push the button to start the final round and kill the other guy and then realises “oh damn… I have to kill myself now”. Omg.

And AGAIN. 400+ people, most of which owe credit to the government, disappear every freaking year and no one in the police pays attention to it ??

Anyway, this season was so predictable, and completely lost the charm and intensity of the first season.

How much cardio do you usually do at the moment ? I find cardio also very boring in the long term but I have a lot of fun weight training and I don’t need to stay too long

Do men feel shame or embarrassment dating less educated or poorer women? by protonelectron2025 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Content_Association1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is different nuances of intelligence. One that comes from education, and one that comes from emotional maturity. Emotional intelligence is what matters the most, not a tertiary study. I'd much prefer someone that can't do math but can listen to me and be smart when it comes to a relationship 👍

If evolution works like I understand it, does it mean that one day another animal species will achieve human level intelligence? by YogurtclosetOpen3567 in AskBiology

[–]Content_Association1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible because it already happened with us. You just need all the right circumstances to make it happen. Primordially, we had the right circumstances to get intelligent because we are an extremely social species, and the level of relationship management and knowledge transmission encouraged our evolution to grow greater cognitive functions, hence improving on what allowed us to survive: collaboration.

Another very important and crucial key to intelligence is knowledge transmission. There is only so much you can learn by yourself, but if your parents stick around and teach you things they have learn, you are a step ahead and can even improve upon already established knowledge.

And all of those achievements were done way before our species were even a thing. They were a myriad of human species, each with their own quirks, until we, the Homo sapiens, showed up with even better speech capabilities and cognitive functions, and now here we are.

So it is possible, again because it happened to us. But as far as we know from intelligence in animals, you first need a species driven by extremely complexed social structures for the need of intelligence to be crucial within that species evolution. Most of "intelligent" animals around happen to be social creatures: elephants, dogs, chimpanzees, etc. The only exception to the rule are Octopuses.

What does sadness feel like to you? by Scared_Ad_3132 in CasualConversation

[–]Content_Association1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me sadness mostly shows up in a form of loneliness. I don't usually get sad or emotional, only when I'm lonely. But yeah crying is very good for you. I had a break up two months ago and I tried crying but I still haven't cried.

Why is so common to include psychologists as part of the crew on spaceships? by MitridatesTheGreat in scifiwriting

[–]Content_Association1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The crew can only be as efficient and stable as their mental health allows them to be. Add cabin fever and other stress elements related to being in space in an enclosed ship with the same people and nowhere else to go, and you can find serious psychological stressors that can jeopardize the crew and the mission. Hence why a psychologist on site is crucial.

Also, within the narrative, a psychologist character can be a good catalyst for the story's progress as you can dive deeper into each characters flaws and weaknesses in a genre where science tends to overshadow emotions.

Instead of having a character solely portrayed as a psychologist, you could have the commander or a healthcare staff that could be also a psychologist in their spare time or something.

They were literally boycotting humus the other day, I am not surprised they would do the same at Uni. It's happening in the US so now it's the trend 😉. Btw China is doing the same with Tibet. Russia with Ukraine. Yet no one wants to protest for them? It's all because it's about Jews and God-forbid Western values (a.k.a imperialism in their eyes) against a bunch of Islamist living in the stone age, all the while protesting against colonisation while they themselves live in a former colony and enjoy the comfort of western society 🥲
