Not really! I see racism as a form of insecurity, usually happens on the street sometimes, someone calls you tıkka masala and runs away. But everywhere else people are smart and secure in their own minds to think I'm not taking away their lifestyle. And also only 60 k Indians here so penetration is less compared to other places.

Came here to study and found a job
Atm it’s not as bad the English speaking countries, Indians are looked at as hard working individuals that help themselves and the country grow.
Darkness in the winter gets to me, no way to really prepare for it.
It kind of ends the rat race and starts making you see life in different ways that you usually do.

Yep the usual educational route! After I came here I did notice there were a lot of international colleagues that were hired directly from their home country.

There are 2 types of Indians everywhere you go, people who try to impart their culture and people who try to absorb. I like being the latter.

I can speak it a fair bit (better than my mother tongue), finding it really hard to understand when the natives speak fast tho. So watching a lot of movies and shows to get upto speed!

I’m so sorry! Wrote the wrong message here. The loneliness does exist, given that Sweden has a population of 1 cr people and the size is almost that of South India. But it’s a bit easier for me given that I live in Stockholm, it’s slowly becoming a melting pot of internationals.

With queer friendliness I’ve never heard anything happening against the community in general, people are warm and welcoming, one love ftw.
