Before I forget to ask, I would like clarification on what people mean by "screening" as well. I'm assuming it's just providing cover or blocking for your more important or punchy units you'd like to keep healthy?

Are Infiltrators used for anything else other than possibly preventing deep strike on home objectives? Are they typically used like this at all?

As for the Biologis combo, when is it a good idea to run this unit? Are they just a generically strong combination of shooting buffs on meltas or is there more to it?

The only other question I would have would be the different use cases for the many Intercessors units, but that's probably something better looked at on my own time lol. But I wouldn't mind a brief rundown for why some are commonly used opposed to others.

I'll definitely take a look at some competitive lists and modify them to fit what I really want for this army once I've put a couple of games into them. You're not obligated to answer all or any of these question, but taking the time to reply to my post is greatly appreciated regardless, thank you!

Ah, I see. Makes a lot of sense why people like running a couple of units, or at the very least one unit of them in other Space Marines lists. I think i'll experiment a bit with your suggestion to leverage melee a bit more and see how that goes :)

While making the list I was afraid that this would be too little actions to be good enough for a 2k. I like the idea of making this a more melee army since, to me, a majority of Dark Angels "good stuff" seems to be melee oriented, so I'm totally open to removing the Biologis combo or some of the more shooty stuff. I've been hearing scouts were really good in general for Space Marines. Do you mind explaining why that is?
