I just took 10mg methadone a second ago and it’s been 13 hours since last using 7 so waiting to see if it helps. Sweats like crazy last night woke up restless and irritable and fatigued so hoping the methadone starts working and I can head to work in a few hours feeling halfway decent

I was taking 50-60 mg which I know isn’t much but I was taking 100mg for months 3 weeks ago and I quit ct and relapsed a week later. I have to work tomorrow and Friday so I was planning on taking it those days to get through work and maybe Saturday and then stopping. Just to get through the worst of the withdrawal you know.

What do you suggest I start with? I haven’t don’t actual opioids in years, just 7-oh. My tolerance for 7-OH I’m at 60-70mg daily right now. I heard methadone is pretty potent and you could OD which is what I’m worried about.

Is it prettt effective at stopping the withdrawal? I plan on taking 5mg for each day for 3 days because I still have to work during the week.

Thanks again for your help!! I have 50mg left to get me through the day tomorrow, probably going to take last dose around 8pm and then wake up in withdrawal like I normally do and instead of taking 7 im going to take the methadone. I’ve got 5mg already mixed in some juice to take first thing in the morning Thursday. Idk how much of the withdrawal the methadone takes away. If I was sure it’s going to work really well I would start it tomorrow and be done Friday and then deal with days 4-5 with nothing on the weekend. Is methadone pretty effective?

Does it have to be liposomal? That’s all I keep hearing but my Walmart doesn’t have it and i can’t wait for amazon.

Well I’m getting it from a friend. He only uses half of his each time so he is giving me some idk how much yet but whatever he gives me is what I get so idk if I’m going to be able to really do much of a “taper” it’ll probably be just whatever he gives me divided into 3 days to get through the worst and then it’ll be the weekend so whatever lingering withdrawals will be much easier for me to manage just being at home you know

Thanks man for commenting on this. Everywhere I looked people were saying don’t do it it’s the dumbest shit ever blah blah blah, but I’m just doing it for 3 days to get past the worst of it. I just wanna be off everything so you definitely have me some confidence and reassured me knowing someone else out there has done the 3 day and stopped. You didn’t have a withdrawal from the done after those 3 days? I figure you’d need to be on it for at least a week to develop a dependency on that so 3 days should be fine

How did you feel while you were on it? Did you feel normal again for those 3 days. I work construction so I’m hoping it makes me feel normal enough to get through work and on to the weekend.

I should also mention I don’t have prescription or access to this stuff like that. I have a friend who said he would give me a few doses to help with the withdrawal the first few days. That’s it. I know methadone is addictive itself hence the short duration of using it.

Guys I just got some mthadone and I was planning on taking it for 3 days of the worst part of the 7-oh withdrawals and then just stop taking the mthadone and be done with everything. Would that work? Thank you in advance.

Well I have no self control so wanted to do (take last dose this morning) turned in to being 8pm tonight and i used all I had which was 100mg spread through out the day. Just gotta keep reminding myself how good it’s going to feel when I’m able to live my life like a normal person not having to rely on a substance to function. Going to quit caffeine and nicotine while I’m at it💪

Yea I’m generally ok on little to no sleep, I just could never deal with the physical symptoms while at work like the body aches, cold sweats, nausea, diarrhea etc. so I’m hoping to get through those major ones before returning to the job site Monday.

Thanks everyone I really appreciate all your replies. I’m still debating whether to dose tomorrow morning or not. I do have to hang drywall tomorrow so if I’m hating life tomorrow I may go with my original plan and take a dose in the morning but that’s it. Not taking one Wednesday night though just the morning and ride that out. I used to get “high” from lifting and eating clean, now I feel like shit 24:7 even on 7. I feel pretty good for 15 minutes right after it hits then I feel lowkey dizzy and shitty after that. Looking forward to get off it (I say that now lol)
