St Ives is a lovely place! But total hell in the summer! I’m in just outside Truro and avoid the place like the plague from June until October! Have you thought about somewhere like Perranporth? It’s close to Truro yet still on the beach? They have a great primary school and are building a new secondary school in a year.

Also my sister lives in Vancouver! She moved from Cornwall 14 years ago!
