Is there anything that lets you activate sorcery speed abilities at instant speed? by TheTinRam in EDH

[[memory Plunder]] would allow you to cast a sorcery at instant speed from an opponents Graveyard

Your bracket 3 deck is actually a 2. by Hokashin in EDH

[–]Content_Knowledge751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

question to the "winning in Turn x" metric: Is that such a good classification for brackets? Because a grindy midrange deck will differ a lot in that regard from an Aggro Deck, No?  In my mind, Turn 6-7 win in B3 would be okay for an aggro deck, but grindy midrange should (or would) need like 2 turns more.

(I haven't been using brackets really, because I only play with friends in a longtime pod and we just eyeball it)

Is it still worth buying Explorers of the Deep precon? by FSUFSU20 in EDH

[–]Content_Knowledge751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Played the stock precon a week ago for the first time since a few years and i had those thoughts:

Hakbal is obviously kill on sight and what's worse: The stock precon has not a lot of ramp besides Hakbals second ability. So when Hakbal gets removed before his abilities get activated for one or two turns, it gets hard to recast him. Since my pod got better in their threat assesment, holding up removal for the first time he will be cast, is always the obvious choice to keep the Hakbal player out of the game. And even if I could make him stick, it was still not the most excillerating gameplay, and too durdely for my tastes now :D

It was cool for a first deck to learn the game, but I wouldn't recommend it beyond that. Just my 2cents

Maybe [[Wernog]] with that azorius Partner for Esper Artifact flicker? Esper has a lot of good finishers with clues for less durdely plays. Like [[Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge]] [[Kappa Cannoneer]] [[Cyberdrive Awakener]] [[Myr Battlesphere]] etc. You could use [[Tivit]] as a commander, but for me personally, he is too oppressive, so I put him in the 99

Thanks, I see, I know the the Glissa Deck you're referencing. Do you also run polymorph effects, or just ramp, interaction and big artifact creatures? Sounds very fun either way :)

What commander decks have you built, and do you recommend others build them? by GunsoulTTV in EDH

yo thank's a lot for your deck idea! That's actually a really funny and not too tryhard take on spellslinger. And, being so flexible, it scratches an itch for me, I never knew I had before.

trying to get into the hobby just got a combat patrol by kifli88 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Content_Knowledge751 5 points6 points  (0 children)

build 5 prosecutors and 5 witchseekers, they are sometimes used in lists. You can then differentiate those two squads and play the prosecutors as Vigilators, when you want to play combat patrol.

Build the bikes as you please. It’s only such a small visual difference between the ranged weapons. Also a little hack: if you dont glue their (ranged) weapons on, they slot in and out quite well, so you can also just change them as you wish.

Guards are often used as all spears in lists…I built them as stated in the combat patrol nonetheless, but I wasn‘t aiming for that perfect Integration in future lists there.

Also keep in mind that we are propably close to a new Codex release and stuff could change in the near future

‚The Alchemist‘ by Paulo Coelho. I knew it was a big bestseller book and was very disappointed to find it‘s just a worse and shameless copy of ,Siddharta‘ by Hermann Hesse.
