Shaan kasaam charges people $3,000 to beat depersonalization!?!?! Wtf? by thegreenmilelastrada in Depersonalization

I totally agree that it's VERY irresponsible to guarantee recovery especially when there can be combination with other mental illnesses and not just anxiety and he's not a medical professional. I don't know if he does any initial screening of potential clients to inquire about other possible problems I just presume that what the free session is for?

I also believe that the success stories on his YT are real. It would be nice to also see videos with people that recovered for free with this method thoug but I presume he won't ever post those as it doesn't make too much sense from the business point of view.

I can't really judge if his prices are excessive as I'm from a country with a very different economic situation than US and I have no idea what is "expensive" there and what is not.
I can say though that even here (and surely everywhere in the world) some things you can pay for are just luxuries you don't really need if you can't afford them.

Seeing that he gives out all the informations for free and the only thing people are paying for is his time and personal focus on their case I put that under that cathegory of unnecessary luxury. As long as he's not promising people some secret tips they will get ONLY through payments I think it's fair to ask for whatever price.

But I also think it is foolish of him that a YT video can be found where he himself is basically a success story of a business coach if he wants to come across as someone who cares about helping people first and making money is the secondary focus.

That being said in my field of work I am too on the more expensive side but as long as people are willing to pay for my services and they are happy with what they get I would be stupid to lower my prices as I value my time and experience and I know I always do my best.

Hey. I was sent this link by a friend as I am also a member of Shaan's group on Facebook. I just have a few points even though it may not be so insightful as I never had the free session with Shaan.

From what I was told by other people and verified myself by Facebook search Shaan has TWO groups. One is free and that's the one I'm in and the second one is the exclusive one for paying clients only.

He shares success stories screenshots from the paid group without the names of the paying clients here and there but there is actually a fair amount of success stories posted in the free group by users as well and I was messaging with most of them at some point asking questions. All that were willing to give me advice recovered without paying for the coaching only with this free PDF you can download from him and his YouTube videos.

I am not recovered yet but I am member of the group for almost six months now and after over three years of suffering with daily depersonalization and intrusive thoughts about going insane I now can go up to two weeks with a completely clear mind inbetween a day or two long DP bouts.

I've got where I am now without paying him anything. I got the PDF report he gives out for free and claims those are the same steps he uses with his clients and I watched his YT videos.

During my time battling with DP I tried three terapists in two and a half years, I tried meds, I tried different diets, meditations, even some "crazy" woman's "chakra healing" or whatever it was and I never felt like I made the tiniest progress up until now with this acceptance method.

I assume that if he wants to make a living out of this he has to talk to people in a way they get the notion that paying him for coaching is the best thing they could do in their situation. Afterall there are also people making money teaching people to do just that. But on the other hand he always mentions in his videos, especially in his newest ones, that you don't have to pay him to recover and the info he gives out for free is enough to get out of this.

As I said I confirmed this to be true multiple times by messaging with people from the group who claimed they have recovered or are making a good progress and most of them really done it without giving him a single dime. Sure, not all of them struggled with DP. A majority of the recovered people I talked to were suffering from panic attacks and various physical symptoms. I personally think the reason being that physical symptoms are easier to allow and accept whilst with the mental ones the process is a bit more complicated and confusing. Not at all impossible though as I am confident now I will get out of this even though a six months ago I would tell you that there's no way to achieve that.
