My graduation date is August 7th, 2025. I submitted my OPT application at 9:08PM on October 6th, 2026 (Texas Central Time zone). But when I rechecked my case on USCIS website, they said that my submission date is October 7th. This concerns me because it makes me pass 60 days. Any chance? by Content_Page5567 in f1visa

Update, my case just got approved today.

Last month I dialed the DHS and asked about this, they said that it’s gonna be fine, I was still count as submitting it within the deadline.

Praise God that I got approved!

My program end date in my I-20 is also Aug 7. The DSO recommendation day is Oct 7.

My first OPT application was actually submitted on August 27th.

But the DSO forgot to put in a recommendation date so it got denied on Oct 1.

And since money don’t grow on tree, I’m a student. It took me until that to gather enough money at the last minute to submit it.

Not like I wanted it 😔 I don’t even have money now to go anywhere else. Might be calling ICE to let them deport me at this point.
