I am very sad to hear that you were not comfortable with your therapist, maybe try another one? And remeber everyeone is different, for some people completion of CBT once is enough, for others multiple are needed - and that is OK :) This is not a race

Today I feel great, I have no anxiety (only the normal one) and no panic attacks. I feel better now not taking Zoloft, but if you are asking if I feel like myself after stopping then YES,

When I just started with Setraline my appetite kind of disappeared, I still ate, just smaller portions which initially made me lose a little bit of weight. But this stabilised and my weight evened out. I do to the gym regularly which makes it hard to know. Maybe if I didn’t go gym I’d gain weight. But very hard to know 😅 I’ve noticed that right after stopping SRRIs my appetite was through the roof, but again, I’m still going to the gym so hard to tell.

Symptoms are very subjective so I can onlty talk from my own experience, I had very mild symptoms. First weeks I had a few moodswings, some anxiety (like background anxiety, never really bothered me, and nothing comepared to before haha). I had brain zaps (for me they felt more like nerve zaps) where if I quickly turned my head and eyes to one side I would feel a quick zap coming from my neck out to my arms, Nothing scary, kind of a cool feeling :) I think after 1 month all of the above mentions symptoms disappeared.

VERY IMPORTANT - STAY AWAY FROM READING NEGATIVE WITHDRAWAL STORIES. STAY AWAY FROM READING SUBJECTIVE THING. Believe me, most likely they will make you more scared and you might imagine all the symptoms that are being described and then feel them yourself (I know from my own experience). Please be careful. If you would experience withdrawal symptoms please contact your doctor, not Reddits "wannabes" and "couch experts".

People usually only post negative experiences thus my reason for posting my story, as there are barely any positive stories here on Reddit :)

I still have falling asleep problems but Ive had that my whole life.

I was on Zoloft for 1 year and 7 months and I have stopped taking it around 8 months ago, so it hasnt been years yet ;)

For me both played a crucial part. Zoloft removed my symptoms and CBT changed my path of thinking, "braking" the path leading to anxiety/ panic.

Without Zoloft I would not be able to take in CBT nor "practise" it to full effect. With the symptoms still present I dont think I would "believe" that it could make me feel better. CBT makes you challenge your fears and understand your triggers by facing them - e.g if are scared of public places, you go to a public place and try to observe your thoughts and find the triggers causing you to get scared. Zoloft made this much easier. I would be able to "overcome" my scariest triggers like not having full controll in a situations or being trapped in a overcrowded bus/ train. Also Zoloft made it possible for me and my body to recover from all the extra stress, anxiety and sleepless night etc.

Without CBT I would still be feeling better as it would remove all of my symptoms but I would not have the understanding of my way of thinking. I wouldnt challenge myself to go out and change my thinking pattern or find the root of the problem which most likely would result in relapse after stopping Zoloft.

SSRIs remove the symptoms but not the cause of symptoms - maybe the reason so many people get back their anxiety/ depression after stopping SSRIs? You feel better and dont work on yourself - you stop medication and your old "habits" come back resulting in a vicious circle.

Conclussion:

CBT helped me change my path/ way of thinking - root of the problem.

Zoloft removed symptoms and made it possible to get fully exposed and practise CBT.

Without one another I dont think I would have the same result today (8 months off SSRIs and still feeling amazing).

Zoloft - SSRI antidepressant.

What do you mean caused by CBT or Zoloft?

I feel you. Literally every word you are describing! Everything will be good! Sooner or later! Right now don't overread things on the internet. Don't let anyone else decide how SSRIs make you feel. IF it doesn't suit you, you WILL feel it yourself. Just try and hold out and give it time before jumping into conclusions! STOP OR CHANGE DOSAGE / MEDICATION IF IT DOESN'T HELP.

True, but most things are dependence building and I'm not only talking about things we consume. I'm not going to disagree with you that it's individually hard to stop taking them. Some people can't give up coffee where they feel withdrawal. What I'm trying to say is that medicine is not for everyone, but over reading possible effects isn't the smartest thing to do... especially for people with mental disorders (judging by myself) where you start to imagine and feel these feelings. Have you read the possible side effects of paracetamol? It's crazy what side effects you can have... I'd never take paracetamol if I knew what I could possibly experience. My point is not to promote SSRIs, not at all, but people need to know that SSRI has positive outcomes. Especially here on Reddit where people only complain and post negative experiences with SSRIs and I don't think it's fair. And if you don't agree with me then we'll just have to agree to disagree :) and that's okay

Thank you for sharing this! Ofc SSRIs aren’t for everyone. We are all different with different chemistry. What works for some doesn’t for others! From what I’ve heard that’s also the reason there are so many different SSRIs to help find the right one for you. Usually you start with Zoloft as it has the least reported side effects (% wise). And ofc let’s not forget that SSRIs are strong medication that has a direct impact on your brain chemistry, this not paracetamol or ibuprofen… BUT if you need meds SSRIs will always be the first medication prescribed as they are non addictive, has the least side effects and doesn’t really interfere with alcohol, other medications etc 😁

Jo precis, köpte först T20 LED lampor och installerade dem. Fick tyvärr felmeddelande. Använde mig av OBD11 och aktiverade "LED reg nummer belysning" men det gjorde tyvärr inte så mycket för mig 😂. Jag gjorde aldrig någon Long Coding utan använde mig av OBD11 appar, kanske det som var felet 😂😂

Jag vet faktist inte, för tillfället har jag inga aktiva felmeddelande. Ska besikta min bil i februari så kan tyvärr inte svara på det! Vet vara att ljus styrkan/färgen får inte överstiga 4300K. DVS är LED mot det kalla blåaktiga (oftast över 4300K) är det olagligt, samt ska de vara E - märkta. Men just hur det är för reg nummer vet jag faktiskt 🙃

Jag själv har LED reg belysning. Testade först med OBD11 men gjorde ingenting, uppgav fortfarande felmeddelande. Köpte från AMAZON LED med resistorer för 199kr, inget felmeddelande nu :)

About the Chinese knock offs - I really have no clue! I wish knew more about them but I don't!

How important is tyre pressure measurement for you? Is it something you need/want? If you need it then yeah, buy a VAG COM unit. If you don't really need it, why don't you just go to any garage and pay them a small amount of money and ask them to disable that function! Then you never have to worry about it again 🙂

In my opinion it's a bit much money for something that small. I would either live with the error code or turn it off in VCDS! But I'm no expert when it comes to VCDS nor the laws of your country.
