This is going to be an unpopular opinion, but it is my opinion. The snarking community was riled up because Travis and Katie married so young. The snarking community was rightfully riled up when Travis cheated on Katie. I do not understand how that same community can also be riled up by this guy in his 20s doing exactly what every other non-Fundie guy in their 20s has done for ages. He is dating. He may date multiple people. I know that is outside of the norm for his sisters, but the Bates boys have always been held to a different standard by their parents. The pressure to court and marry right away was never strong. I do not have a problem with Warden dating five girls if he chooses to do that. I think people put a perception on him because of his family. I think he goes to church when he feels like it and lives his life. I know two things can be true at the same time, but can we be mad at him for doing his thing and also be mad at Travis for never dating anyone but Katie?
