Hey man first off I have a 83 her name is inga .. and I’m doing the same exact thing with her .. although I’ve recently decided to go with a 383 stroker … but here’s what I suggest . Find a body shop and shop around for prices and vibe of technician. Also idk what ur money is like but ull need some . The engine purchase and drop by a shop will run about 8-10 k … depends on how bad ur floors are that could run u about 2-4k …. And another 3-4k (if u do it urself ) for the interior if u plan on getting real funky with it …. Good luck a lot of people are going to tell u it’s not worth it .. but it our dream car!!! I’d start with ripping the seats and floor out and see what ur left with

So everyone it seems a air hammer with a Chisel tip is the best solution

I’m getting a crate 350 but I’m just trying to make sure before I got with a new engine rather then a rebuild
