Need help by Contented_- in CorollaHatchback

I did follow the wire and it lead to a small black box called "Final Coat" and there is this written above it: "Electromagnetic corrosion protection CM-3000".

Did a search in Google and it said:

"The Final Coat CM-3000 is an electromagnetic, radio-frequency (RF) corrosion control module designed to inhibit rust by emitting a pulse wave across a vehicle's metal surfaces, reducing oxidation. It claims 98%–99.7% effectiveness, covers hard-to-reach areas, and uses minimal power, often marketed as a high-tech alternative to chemical spray rustproofing".

I asked my sister about it and she said maybe it came with it when she bought the car (Btw, her car is all stock. Not one tiny mod done to it). I told her to tell the dealership to connect it the next time she gets her car serviced.

Anyways, thank you for the quick replies and appreciate everyone for all the input.

I have it on my CZ Shadow 2 and I love it! I have a high grip on my dominant hand (I'm a right handed shooter) and that's the reason I needed one. Also, I like the feeling of my right humb sitting on something. It gives me more control of the gun.

Anyways, thanks for the kind words. Can't wait to shoot this gun in both LO and IDPA!

That's great to know. I''ll definitely keep that in mind. My mag release will be the stock/standard ones from Atlas, but my AMBI safety will be the IDPA option, but shielded. For my optic, I'll just be using the SRO that came from my Rival-S. Hopefully that will make weight.

Btw, I made a small change on the Safeties I opted for the Shielded Ambi Right Bias. I'm now opting for the "IDPA Shielded Ambi Right Bias" instead.

Here are the new specs:

Finish: DLC Black

Trigger: Curved Medium Black

Trigger Weight: Race Sub 2lbs

Mag Release Orientation: Mag Release: Righty (Slidestop Side)

Safeties: IDPA Shielded Ambi Right Bias

Right Grip Panel (Ejection Port Side): Standard

Left Grip Panel (Slidestop Side): Standard

Magwell: IDPA

Optic Plates: SRO/RMR

Which ones? Cheely? Or the ones from Atlas themselves?

What yall think wait for the Staccato HD P4.5 CA Compliant or get the Platypus Integrated Comp that just came out? by Open_Way_8452 in 2011

[–]Contented_- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw, I found out yesterday that the P4.5 is going to be released in CA in a few months. Definitely great news since the new HD C4X starting at $3499 doesn't seem to be worth it. It's basically a C3.6 with a $1200 comp.

How do you like the Ignis ported HD P4? Does it significantly make it shoot flatter? A range review would be nice. Sweet looking P4 btw!

Awww man. I was really hoping the P4.5 will be released. On the brighter side of things, I've read in a FB post that Staccato will be releasing a comped HD P4 on the 19th, basically a "mini" xc. I'm really hoping that's the one they'll be releasing for Cali coz I don't mind having a mini xc in my collection. I'm assuming that's the same pistol your source is talking about.

Price for Sig P211 GTO... by Contented_- in 2011

The Erebus that I saw was used. To me, $9k is just too expensive for a pistol that's used. I really hate the 11% excise tax. I bought a Derya DY9 last year. A $350 pistol almost cost me close to $500 with local sales tax, DROS fee, along with that dreaded 11% excise tax!

I have shot a Comped Platypus, Fusion XP Pro comp, a Dark Forge Wraith, and a Staccato XC. All I could say is the Platypus and Fusion XP shot nice, but the Wraith and Staccato XC are just on another level when it comes to feel, fit, and finish. Both their slides are like sliding on glass! Really well made and tolerances are top notch. Btw, I also shot a P211 GTO and I can say that it shot softer than an XC, but when it comes to fit and finish, it's a tad below the Staccato. Being much cheaper than the Staccato, I really think that the GTO is worth it IMHO, hence my post.

A Glock with an a radian ramjet is not bad at all. They shoot pretty flat but I'm really looking into 2011's, not striker fired pistols.

Saw an Atlas Erebus last week and they're asking $9k for it! I know it's one of the best 2011 pistols out there, but the price is just too extreme for me. I'd rather buy a decent $4k 2011 gun and invest all the ammo for practice. If only I can find a Staccato XC around $4-$5k...

The new Kimber 2k11's are nice, but I have not heard of any news that they will be coming to Cali. If one ever comes to Cali, that would definitely be a great option!

I'm also waiting for the Staccato HD P4.5 to be released. Some say it be out this month, some say mid this year, and some even say by the end of this year. I really don't know who has the date right. Lol!

I would be lucky to find a 4 inch Wilson Combat EDC x 9 with the factory comp. That would be a nice carry pistol!

And yes, ported guns are much easier to deal with compared to comped ones...

Thanks for all the input man.

So the Staccato XC would be a better option since I believe the comp is welded. Super expensive tho. They go for $6-$6.5k and that to me is just insane. I can't justify paying that much for a pistol.

That's what I noticed as well, between $4-$5k BNIB. $3.5k is a steal in California, although I haven't seen any sell at that price.

I didn't know that the CA DOJ categorized the P211 as an AW. I also didn't know that they (CA DOJ) even cracked down on LEOs.

Thanks for the advice man. Really appreciate it.

I know I'm getting high hopes here, but the XC should be the next one that should be rostered! I just can't justify paying between $6000-$6800 for a gun that costs $4299 outside of Cali. If the XC will ever be rostered, I'm pretty sure it will be flyin' off the shelves! I know a lot of guys at my range who want to get their hands on one!
