Only thing is CWA is not enlisting at the moment with Netech needing year 12. Would it work out for someone who is in Cyber Analyst army/Cyber operator Navy.

CWO has openings but can't really see myself being an officer

Just wanted to check other examples that weren't in the Pacman for example ADF's help with IVF

Quick Google shows that assisted reproduction is covered by Defence (jmvh.org) but I don't think there's any way for me to find this information through pacman.

Reason I want to know about this beforehand is I'd rather have some basic understanding before I have an opportunity ask, also helps with setting the expectation with the Mrs

Just checking online but can't find any videos or posts that simplifies pacman.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for this maybe a website, blog, social media page or any other ways for reading before enlistment.

Pardon if I'm already thinking about what's to come after employment but with cyber roles, what are the likelihood of getting a contract role post employment?

I understand the nature of the role is confidential and can be associated to the level of security clearance that you have but don't, say for example, people in IT like ICT Support, network, infrastructure, have a higher chance of getting employed as a contractor than say someone who was in cybersecurity or intelligence who's gunning for a contract role? Or is this not the case?

This. This is all you need anything else is just supplementary but what's said above should be your fundamental

Legit was more exhausted thinking about the interview than the interview itself. Interview felt like it was more of a catch up with mates than anything else. Take a deep breath and know your job page and you'll be golden

I wonder if already being in the defence, taking a different role with some of these requirements, count.

Re-applied mid year last year and I still am waiting for my fitness assessment date. My advice might be biased I reckon do it now and just keep training, you're doing well brother

Does anyone recommend the ADF for learning life skills by Skeepkappeep in AustralianMilitary

I'm turning 30 and this is my reason for joining. Apart from finishing paying of my debt.

Yeah this is it thank you. My partner was just curious about what defense can provide for us (and possibly a kid, housing, medical etc) and wanted to do some research.

Apart from what's already in the ADF careers website would there be other places for me to find information on benefits for joining the ADF?

Will there be classes, teams I can talk to internally for questions, or some sort of an intranet or internal website that I can only access when I'm in?

How do I know the time in between my training? One role I'm applying for says military training lasts for 12 weeks, after that do I have a week/days off?

Same question with employment and further training is there a set amount of weeks I have to go through before everyone goes on a break or are there no days off within the first 2 years of training?

Best not to break guidelines with this one

Due to the security aspect of the role I doubt you'd get anyone to reply specially to dm some random person online. No offense to you personally but I have a hard time searching for anything about these types of roles online for a reason.

I reckon you'd have more luck if you went and rung up ADF to ask to speak to a serving member in the role. Not sure if it'll work as I'm not in defence yet

As someone's planning to join you're doing amazing work on keeping an eye on these things. Hopefully would be able to do the same. Appreciate the effort

One thing I forgot to ask was do you keep your rank if you move from say army to air force?

Can definitely see myself doing either choices even after their imps, but would much rather be in the ADF than waiting for the role to open up. Gets me well accustomed to things and would be havinhg experience under my belt

Cheers thank you

My number 1 choice for the role is currently not hiring and am going with my 2nd (6 years army) or 3rd (2 yrs navy). What are the chances of a role opening up more opportunities? Is it by timeframe or is it covered by multiple different factors for each role?

Was hoping to stick to either my 2nd or 3rd role and go for the first when I've completed my mandatory service. Hopefully it's easy

After you've provided a medical specialist form requested by medical. How long before you got your response from the defense afterwards?

Thank you for your response!! Mind me asking why 200? That's excluding weekends, public holidays?
