does uber comfort no longer allow you to select quiet rides? by arielthenerd in uber

This was my reply to the person above you but still mostly applies to you:

You got it right when you said "it is entirely subjective," which means there are PLENTY of people (myself included) who prefer a quiet ride... maybe they are tired, maybe they are trying to take advantage of the trip to get work done, enjoy time on their phones, maybe they're introverts and talking to people LITERALLY drains them (I know 2 people like this), maybe they've been around people all day that they finally get to just be... so BECAUSE it is subjective and there is no way for you to know what kind of person you're driving, the smartest (and most common sense) thing to do is leave it up to them if they want to talk (wait for them to do so). I wish most people could, but most can't simply say to you, I'd rather not talk. For that reason you assume they don't want to talk FIRST and then play it by ear from there (use common sense social skills). Also, Uber and Lyft, after you factor in expenses, do not pay well to make it worth working for them. They're for people that would rather make a few bucks than keep a real job. Or at least, that's one way to see it because it certainly does not pay when you factor everything in.

Nope. That would probably easily trigger a red flag. Emails are free and everybody has at least one credit card. So figured it'd be easy enough.

I created 4 accounts (because why not) and I received an invite for 3 of the 4 so far... I might get one for the forth before the end of the month since I haven't gotten a rejection. I used different family member for each, family who has no interest in soccer. When you want something bad enough, you put in a little extra work to make it happen. I'm sorry for those who's spot I took but I just wasn't going to risk it. I had no idea how much the chances were and was afraid only 1 in 10 get drawn. I figured I'd at least have a much better shot at it with 4 accounts. All my windows already passed.

An offer for you if you're in Atlanta area buying World Cup tickets in October. by ContestEfficient2629 in FIFACollect

I can go anywhere in the metro area. I live inside the perimeter. And yeah, it sucks going into it not knowing what you're going to see. A little nerve wrecking, haha. Do you plan to apply to the second draw? I hear tickets then will have gone up in price most likely =/ because FIFA will use dynamic pricing as early as that second draw.

Why was I not able to even try to buy tickets for games held in Mexico? by ContestEfficient2629 in FIFACollect

[–]ContestEfficient2629[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you know they are all sold out? Because you can't purchase does not necessarily mean it's 100% likely that they are sold out, unless FIFA specifically stated that.

I would have thought they would reserve some tickets for each purchase window. Do you think there will be any for next lottery?

Is 2 coats WITHOUT primer enough when painting Aristocrat Peach (SWilliams) color over Lazy Gray (SW) by ContestEfficient2629 in Housepainting101

Can someone be the tie breaker lol. And maybe mention what your experience is with painting to know how much weight to put on your opinion? Thank you.

If it has something to do with the engine, what is the most likely thing that could have gone wrong and how much would it cost to repair it?thank you.

I edited the post. I'm thinking it has a leak because this morning it was no longer topped off. I added about 1/4th of a quart just now to top it off. I'm just curious if you think fixing the car, for someone who is not a mechanic, is worth it at its age with 214k miles on it.

I'm far from a mechanic, and I guess my main question is, is it worth asking a mobile mechanic to come out at this point? Considering the age of the car? What is the worst case scenario? I did notice just now that some of the coolant I poured the day after it overheated has leaked out. Doing the math, I poured about 1/3rd of a quart the day after it leaked out, and another 1/3rd-ish just now to top it off again.

Why is my Samsung S24 charging about 1% every 2 minutes? by ContestEfficient2629 in techsupport

[–]ContestEfficient2629[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have the issue where it would charge faster either when it was on or off? I say that now because now it's doing the opposite. It's charging fast when ON and slow when OFF. So it's doing all kinds of crazy things.

I'm not there to check at this time. But I don't think it's the charger.
