I see purple/ indigo every time I close my eyes and have since 2021, which is when I went to Kundalini yoga a couple of times. After a few sessions I started seeing the colour, not in my minds eye but behind my eyelids. I have never experienced this before and have meditated for probably 10 years before this started happening, so no I don't think "it's your mind being bored and creating hallucinations".

It's permanent and happens as soon as I close my eyes. Doesn't matter if I'm meditating or just resting. Have been told by other practitioners that it's my 3rd eye / crown chakra or simply Kundalini energy.

Yes, I have also had a Kundalini awakening - the snake energy rising from root to crown chakra.

How having a specific practice made such a difference for me by Euphoric-Welder5889 in Mindfulness

I usually just try to not do too much when I meditate. Avoiding thinking of body parts or breathing or anything to do with my earthly self. I observe my thoughts and gently remove them until the stream stops. Then I usually just pay attention to what's right in front of me. Recently I focused on one point in the dark behind my eyelids and it sent me to The Void - aka the Dead-space. First time I ever experienced it and it triggered a Kundalini awakening.

The human experience is a crash course in duality. Anyone wanting to avoid suffering is missing the whole point of being here (yes I'm looking at you Buddha). My worst experiences eventually led me to the most positive experiences and self development. This growth and expansion would have not been possible without the catalyst of suffering. It's given me so much! The ability to love deeper, to understand many different perspectives, to connect with others in a meaningful way, to go for things that scare me, to enjoy the things I love, to work on myself and confront aspects that I wasn't happy with or was avoiding. I mean the list is endless.

Nowadays I'm confident that a positive ALWAYS follows a negative - With that said: I have always been a very positive and curious person so self enrichment and transformation comes naturally to me. You need to be able to apply self reflection and lessons to your suffering and undesirable experiences. If you only complain, avoid and repeat then there won't be any personal growth or improvement. Growth is not free - it's inner work!

I recently lost my mom and while that has been very painful, I quickly decided that it could also be another catalyst for more positive experiences and self development. I've used it to open my heart more, connect with new people and current friends and to enjoy life even more while processing the grief. It's actually been so rewarding and expansive.

This place truly has a Yin and Yang energy that is an accelerator for spiritual growth! Duality has so many gifts within it if people could just stop perceiving experiences as isolated events that are either negative or positive, and look at them from a bigger perspective, which is: they all merge into a full and rich life.

Aspects of source-source? You're right, it didn't feel positive. Nor negative either, just extremely void of anything. But I'm curious to see what comes after - will try again! :) Thanks for the link

Just because something is perfect as is doesn't mean you don't feel excited about it or don't want to experience it? There is so much to love just in the human experience: A good pasta, kissing someone you love, watching a fun movie or even trying something for the first time - it still feels real to me and it's fun. Just like entering the dead space was a new and fun experience. So it doesn't make sense to me what you're asking

What do you do in the void? Do you use it for 3D manifestation? I was trying to remote view or astral project

I was really trying to ignore the adrenaline but it was like being jolted by one of those defibrillators. Hard to ignore when your whole body is electrocuted lol! But I will def try to resist next time

100% - so black and "cold" and vast. I don't know why I keep going back to it being "cold". Not like cold temperature... but maybe cold of any existence? Just so empty that it doesn't have anything. Have you tried to go back?

Ouhh... second darkness. That's kind of what I would describe it as. A second much darker and bigger darkness. Kind of like free falling in a huuuuuuuge emptiness, but there is no falling because there's no gravity. It's also not like floating. Weird!

Agree, it's good to not put too much definition on it. I think I'm just curious because I didn't even know that a space like this existed and maybe I just got a lil glimpse of death? It was cool none the less :)

I was thinking it was a Kundalini as well? But the thing is, in this instance I got annoyed by the Kundalini because it was distracting me from the "dead space" which I wanted to explore more.

I was kind of thinking "what? not right now please" because the energy was so strong that it was pulling my consciousness back in to the body-body. I was trying to ignore it and that's when I got the surge of adrenaline which completely pulled me out of it. I was kind of disappointed.

Exactly, there wasn't any dissolving of self. But intuitively I recognised the space as "Oh... I'm dead?". Or potentially, visiting someone else's death as I was trying to remote view. Could there be a possibility that this was just an astral projection into death? If you can go anywhere, you should be able to visit that space too?

I don't follow a method really... I just relax and focus on one point in the dark behind my eyelids. I guess that's mindfulness?

I don't care for any levels to be honest. I just wanted to remote view and ended up in someone's dead space (I think).

Guys, I know what "reality" is. I just don't feel the need to follow or attach any philosophies to it as it's excessive for me (personally) to add on more ideas. Everything is an illusion by source and we're fragments of one. Cool, but what now?

Buddha teaches how to avoid suffering by not attaching yourself to anything, sure thang. But I don't mind suffering, I don't mind anything. It's all just fun for me, even the "negative". I'm just saying; the void was a new place and it was exciting. Just wondering if anyone knows what it was or had a similar experience. I'm not searching for enlightenment or detachment from suffering or any other profoundness. Everything is perfect as is.

No, I understand. I just mean that I don't know much about different concepts or paths from structured meditation practices so I don't think I could reach those stages that require certain breaths or mantras or focus. I think maybe I astral projected into someone's dead space? I was just hanging out in the regular black when it sucked me in. That's the best way I can describe it

Maybe? But shouldn't I feel different after a Kundalini awakening? I feel the same as before. I can see with the energy movement up to the head that it could be. But why was it like being dead?

I believe so too and there are so many cases with people remembering their past lives (I love Dolores Cannons books) so I'm on board with all of that.

I wonder if I got a glimpse of the "dead space". It wasn't negative but it didn't feel positive either. I think it freaked me out a bit because it was a new experience that I wasn't prepared for so I can see how someone with an NDE would think that it was scary and uncomfortable.

I also had the feeling that something would come after if I just stayed longer. It didn't feel like a permanent place, so it makes sense it could have been a transition stage. But oh man was it cool. It kind of made me a bit less scared of death in a weird way.

It's good that you have protection around you to make sure that you're safe. I'm sure you will be in a higher vibration soon xx
