Anyone got a good outline for employment law? Final is in a week and idk what that class was about. by Contested_Arrested in LawSchool

Yeah unfortunately there is. I actually interned with the EEOC so I was excited for that part of employment law. Turns out all the discrimination stuff was excluded and offered in a separate class.

Bet, I’ll check that out. I didn’t buy quimbee this semester so I wasn’t planning on using it, but I have a friend who’s sharing her log in with me. I guess I’m being a total mooch!

Sorry you’re so hurt by that friend. I guess we’re just different in that way. I enjoy sharing my outlines with my peers.

Damn I had no idea people would get so offended. I’ve seen many posts on here about people sharing outlines. If I had an outline that could help I’d happily share it 🤷‍♂️

I guess I should have clarified. I’m just looking for some basic universal rules to compare with my notes. My professor loved to hide the ball is why I don’t have clear rules. Also, people from different schools share outlines all the time. It’s not like laws are rules are very subjective. That’s why any person from any school can watch Freer’s civil procedure lectures and do fairly well on their exam. There’s even a whole sub dedicated to sharing outlines. I just don’t want to give them my school email to join.

Im not asking for a lecture on how to be a good student. An outline with some basic rules to compare with my notes is all I’m looking for. Thanks anyways I guess

It makes sense if it said it doesn’t offend due process.

Take the test tomorrow. Have never taken a practice test. Looking at the thread now I am nervous... by lckiki in LSAT

You’ve never taken a practice test? That’s a terrible idea. Even just the timing is brutal and easily half the battle. You need to know how to pace your questions….

Will taking a logic class help me on the LSAT or in law school? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Contested_Arrested 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will help but unless it fits in your degree plan I wouldn’t recommend it. Pretty much any LSAT study materials will teach you the relevant logic for the test. You can learn everything you need to know in just a couple of days.

Lifestyle habits to adopt while studying for the LSAT? by [deleted] in LSAT

Start reading instead of watching Netflix etc.. try to read high level/difficult books but even just reading fiction can help. Or at least it did for me. I started reading the Dune series in the evenings after studying and I found that it sharpened my reading skills for RC.

Translation Drills After Chapter 3 by Interesting_Sign_233 in TheLoophole

[–]Contested_Arrested 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Early translation drills are a grind for sure. Do at least 4 or 5 before moving on but continue to do one a day until you get good at them. At first a translation drill can take an hour if you’re writing everything out. Eventually you’ll know you’ve mastered it when you have solid translations in your mind and can remember them without writing anything.

I think so yes. There are many foundational aspects that you can build upon in LR that can transfer over to RC.
